Walker rebounds for Street Stock win at Whynot

Jeffery Walker driving the T and R Mobile Home Repair/ A-1 Auto Glass Chevy Camero, started the night off driving Greg Daniels Monte Carlo breaking the rear end in hot laps, raced back to his shop and brought his own car back to the track and finished the night off strong winning the Street Stock feature race Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.

Walker won his heat, started on the pole and fell back to third in the early going of the feature race to "Mr. Whynot" Kyle Rutledge and Artis Bunyard. Walker worked his way back to second by mid race and set his sights on the leader Rutledge, Bad luck struck Rutledge again this season with three laps to go as his car slowed on the track giving the win to Walker. Wayne Medders finished second with Todd Odom third, David Turner fouth, Scott Vowel fifth and Andy Taylor moved up from the Stinger class to Street Stock this week finished sixth.

Jim McDuffie of Meridian driving the H.E. Mosley Inc./ Boland Performance/ Trak Star, raced his way from from third to win the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Dirt Late Model Late Model feature. McDuffie battled with Randy Boyd and Larry Murphy most of the race before taking the win. Larry Murphy finished second, Randy Boyd third, Wiley Williams fourth and Ray Paul fifth.

Randy King of Meridian driving the LSI Landsharks/  Pee Wee's Performance Exhaust/ Ethridge Race Parts/ A-1 Glass/ Burgess Outdoor Power/ Custom Creations/ Dirt Works Won his 14th feature race of the season and his 10th at Whynot. Tim Rutledge finished second, Kyle Rutledge third, Randy McBride fourth and Jason Byrd fifth.

Mike Hudler driving the Will Parker Attorney at Law/ Davidsons Lawn Care/ Lawrences Jewlery and Repair/ Chevy Monte Carlo won the Pure Stock division. Coonie Luker finished second, Tim Dees third, Ed Hembree fourth and Tyler Roberts fifth.

Kenneth Gates won the Mini Stock feature, David Franklin finished second, Tyler Evans third, Chad Roberts fourth and Mindi Sissons fifth.

Terry Gray of Bartlette, TN won the Winged Southern Outlaw Sprint Car feature. Shane Morgan finished second, Todd Fayard third, Timmy Thrash fourth and Morgan Turpen finished fifth.  

Whynot returns to action this Saturday night with another exciting weekly racing program featuring the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Dirt Late Models, Open Wheel Modified, Street Stock, Mini Stock and Pure Stocks.
