August 28th, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports entered the 2nd Annual Open Wheel Modified Motor Madness over the weekend at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee, which was highlighted by a pair of $5,000 to win events. On Friday night, a stout field of 64 Open Wheel Modifieds entered the program, and after some difficulties in his first qualifier, Newman rebounded in the second qualifier to lock into the 16th starting spot in the main event. In the feature, he rode a strong race car through the pack to a sixth place finish behind event winner, Hunter Rasdon, Johnny Bone Jr., Mike Bowers, Randy Weaver, and Brad Buck.

On Saturday night, a complete new program was held, and Ashley won the third heat race to start third in the feature event. He would battle with Johnny Bone Jr. and Hunter Rasdon at the front of the pack for the entire $5,000 to win event before ultimately recording a solid third place finish in the final rundown.

August 21st, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports competed at Clayhill Motorsports once again on Saturday night, in their final tune-up before the upcoming Open Wheel Modified special at the facility. An eighteen car field entered the event, and Ashley started the night by winning his heat race. Via his heat race win he started second in the feature, and while challenging Matt Cooper for the lead early in the event, would spin to miss Cooper as the leader checked up. As a result, Newman would go to the back of the pack and would charge back through the field to a sixth place finish.

August 14th, 2010 - The team would travel to Clayhill Motorsports on Saturday night for another Weekly Racing Series Event. In heat race action, Ashley was charging through the pack, but with a few laps to go, the powerplant expired. While the team's car would be done for the night, Ashley piloted Jeff Waller's car in the feature and picked up a 5th place finish.

August 7th, 2010 - Saturday night was another successful outing for Ashley and the team as they entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, AR). After winning his heat race to earn the pole position for the 15 lap feature event, Ashley chased fellow front row starter Tony Anglin for the first two laps. On the second circuit, Newman would take over the spot and would never look back en route to the feature win, which marked his eighth triumph of 2010.

July 31st, 2010 - Ashley Newman and Tucker Motorsports went toe-to-toe with some of the nation's top Open Wheel Modified competitors over the weekend in the Show Me Modified Championship at New West Plains Speedway in West Plains, Missouri. Newman would lock into Saturday's finale after finishing sixth in Thursday night's qualifier. Via his sixth place finish, he started 16th on the grid in Saturday night's $5,000 to win/$500 to start event. However, late afternoon rains left the racing surface extremely wet, which resulted in a long delay. By the time that the feature was run the track had become hard and difficult to pass on. Newman would manage to advance to an 11th place finish.

July 24th, 2010 - With the team's primary driver, Ashley Newman, unable to pilot the #73 Tucker Motorsports entry over the weekend, Terry Gray was asked to fill the driver's seat as the team entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. Despite never driving the car before and this being his first event of the year, Gray finished second in his heat race to earn the fourth starting spot for the 15 lap main event. He would get as high as the second spot early in the race before settling for a solid fourth place finish at the checkered flag behind winner, Jeremy Ray, Chase Gustavus, and Josh Ray.

July 17th, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports traveled to Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi on Saturday night for a $1,000 to win, Open Wheel Modified special. A field of 22 cars was on hand for the event, and in time trials, Ashley qualified 2nd fastest to start on the front row alongside Chris Moore for the feature event. Moore would grab the lead at the drop of the green flag and Newman would challenge him for the top spot for the entire duration of the event before settling for a second place finish.

July 10th, 2010 - Ashley carried his mid-season momentum into Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing second in his heat, Newman would start third in the main event. Early in the feature he found the cushion to his liking and would use it to ride past the front row starters as he went on to take the convincing win, which was his seventh of the 2010 season!

July 5th, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports with Ashley Newman behind the wheel turned in four great performances in USCS Open Wheel Modified action over the Fourth of July weekend.

The weekend opened on Thursday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas as 25 cars entered the event. Ashley earned the pole position for the feature event and bolted to the lead at the drop of the green flag, and never looked back en route to the feature win over Brad Buck and Jeremy Ray.

On Friday the action moved to Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri. Ashley would once again power his #73 Tucker Motorsports/Larry Shaw Race Car/Dynotech Racing Engine to the feature win over a talented field of competitors.

Saturday night found the team at Thunderhill Speedway in Summertown, Tennessee for another USCS Open Wheel Modified event. Ashley would battle for the lead for much of the event and actually took the lead on two separate occasions late in the race only to have cautions nullify the passes. He would ultimately record a strong second place finish behind event winner, Jason Markewitz.

On Sunday, the team wrapped up their busy weekend at Camden Motor Speedway in Camden, Tennessee, and by the time that the night was over Ashley had picked up his third win of the weekend, and his sixth win of the season.

June 26th, 2010 - It was a great night for Ashley at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee as he picked up his second win of the year at the facility and his third win overall on the season. After starting fourth in his heat race, Ashley took over the lead early in the race to and went on to win his heat race to earn the outside front row starting position alongside Jimmy Halford for the feature event. He set sail at the drop of the green flag and never looked back en route to the win!

June 19th, 2010 - The team returned to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night. Twenty cars entered the Weekly Racing Series Event, and after starting 4th in his heat race, Ashley advanced to a second place finish to earn the fourth starting spot for the feature event. Early in the feature, Newman would jump to the second spot as he pursued Rusty Stagen for the lead. Stagen would struggle in lapped traffic, which allowed Newman to drive past him for the lead. Ashley led the next six laps before a lapped car caused him to check up, allowing second place runner, Tony Anglin to slip by for the lead. Newman would chase Anglin the rest of the distance to the checkered flag as he picked up a second place finish.

June 12th, 2010 - The team was in action tonight at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee in a Weekly Racing Series Event. Via heat race action, Ashley earned the 5th starting position for the feature and by the fourth lap was battling for the third spot, when he cut a tire down and headed pitside. He would rejoin the tail of the pack and raced his way back up to the fourth spot, when bad luck struck again with a laps to go when the fanbelt came off ending his night.

June 11th, 2010 - Ashley piloted Michael Lee's #55 on Friday night at Camden Speedway in Camden, Tennessee in a Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing second to his teammate, Lucas Lee, in the heat race, Newman followed it up with a second place finish in the feature.

June 6th, 2010 - With team owner, Steve Tucker, out of town Ashley originally planned to not race anywhere over the course of the weekend, but made the last minute decision to pilot Michael Lee's #55 car into battle in a pair of Weekly Racing Series Events. On Friday he was in action at Camden Speedway in Camden, Tennessee, where after starting third in the feature he battled the leader for much of the race before recording a second place finish behind winner, Matt Cooper.

Saturday night would see a venue change to Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee, but the end result would be the same as Newman finished second to Cooper again after starting in the 7th position.

May 31st, 2010 - Ashley and Tucker Motorsports intended to enter three events over the course of the Memorial Day weekend, but as it would turn out they would only get to compete in two events as Mother Nature claimed the USCS Open Wheel Modified event at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Sunday night.

On Saturday night, the team entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi. Ashley would record a 5th place finish behind event winner, Chris Moore, Cole Long, Jeremy Greenway, and Jr. Lemmings.

Monday night found Newman in action at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee for another Weekly Racing Series Event. After starting 6th in his heat race, Newman battled his way to a second place finish to earn the 4th starting spot for the main event. Early in the feature he advanced to the second spot, but did not have anything for race leader, Matt Cooper. Newman went on to finish second behind Cooper.

May 22nd, 2010 - Ashley entered the Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. Nineteen cars entered the event, and Newman began the night by advancing from 6th to 4th in his heat race to earn the 7th starting position for the feature event.

In the feature, Ashley would advance to the third position early in the event and was battling for second, when contact from another car cut-down his right front tire forcing him pitside. He would rejoin the field, but would endure more tire issues, and would retire to a 15th place finish.

May 15th, 2010 - The team was slated to race at Clayhill Motorsports on Saturday night, but Mother Nature nixed the program.

May 7th, 2010 - Ashley Newman and Tucker Motorsports were back in action on Saturday night at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee. The Weekly Racing Series Event drew a field of fifteen competitors. After starting last in his heat race, Newman advanced to a second place finish to earn the fourth starting spot for the main event. Newman would jump to the second spot early in the feature and would make a pass for the lead only to have it negated by a caution. A few laps after the restart, Ashley would once again take the lead and went on to lead the remainder of the event en route to his second win of the season! April 17th, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports was once again in a Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas as 20 cars entered the event. After starting at the back of his heat race, Ashley advanced to a 5th place finish to earn the 7th starting spot for the main event. Early in the event, Newman stopped to miss a spun car and was sent to the back of the pack. He would go on to charge back to a 6th place finish in a race that was shortened by a few laps due to time limit constraints. Full results are available at www.RiversideInternationalSpeedway.com .

April 10th, 2010 - The team took part in the season opener on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. Twenty Open Wheel Modifieds entered the event. After starting 9th in his heat race, Ashley advanced to a 5th place finish. With passing points in effect, Ashley started 9th in the feature, where he would race his way to a 4th place finish behind race winner, Ben Reed, Tony Anglin, and Craig Vaughn. April 3rd, 2010 - After having the season opener at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas rained out on Saturday, the team made the last minute decision to travel to Camden Speedway in Camden, Tennessee for their 2010 season opener. Fifteen Open Wheel Modifieds entered the event and despite a broken left rear shock, Ashley would race his way to a 5th place finish behind event winner, Lucas Lee, Jamie Mann, Michael Turner, and Junior Lemmings.

March 27th, 2010 - The team traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi over the weekend for a pair of USCS Open Wheel Modified events. On Friday night, Ashley finished 2nd in his heat race to start 4th in the feature. During the course of the event, he raced his way to a second place finish behind event winner, Josh Hughes.

On Saturday night, another complete program was on tap for the Open Wheel Modifieds, and Newman started the night by qualifying second to earn the second starting position for the feature event. Ashley would chase Chris Moore for much of the event, and exiting turn two on the white flag lap, he attempted a pass on the leader, only to have Moore try to spin him. Newman would recover, and would attempt a pass out of turn four only to have Moore try to spin him again. Despite the aggressive driving, Ashley would still record a second place finish.

March 20th, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports entered the USCS Bootheel 40 at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri over the weekend. After qualifying 4th fastest, Newman started 4th in the main event. Early in the event, Ashley was battling with Chris Moore for the second position, when fourth running, Ben Reed, got into the back of Newman causing him to spin. Newman was credited with the caution and had to go to the back of the pack. He would charge back to a 9th place finish over the remainder of the event.

March 6th, 2010 - Ashley Newman entered the season opener at Columbus Speedway on Saturday night. After starting third in his heat race he raced his way to the heat race win to earn the pole position for the 15 lap feature. In the main event, Ashley lined up alongside Tony Gray as the field came to the green flag. As the race got underway Newman and Gray battled for the lead with Gray taking the advantage as the field completed the first lap. For the first half of the race, Ashley battled for the lead before the handling began to go south on the #73 entry. He would fall back to the third position by the time that the checkered flag dropped as he registered a third place finish behind event winner, Tony Gray, and Jeremy Shaw.

February 28th, 2010 - The team made the last minute decision to travel to Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama for the 13th Annual Bama Bash. In heat race action on Friday night, Ashley started in the 3rd position and charged to a second place finish. Via his heat race finish, he earned the outside front row starting spot alongside Ken Schrader for Sunday evening's main event. In the feature he would have his left front tire cut down on the first lap of the race as he and Schrader battled for the lead. Despite the left front flat, Newman would continue racing and would limp his wounded mount home to a third place finish in the $1,500 to win event behind event winner, Ken Schrader, and Chris Moore.

February 21st, 2010 - Ashley Newman and Tucker Motorsports entered their second event of the 2010 campaign on Saturday at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tennessee with the 1st Annual Ice Breaker. The $1,000 to win event drew 19 cars. Ashley started 5th in his heat race and would charge to a second place finish to earn the fourth starting spot for the 20 lap main event. After seeing the first two starts waved off for wrecks, the field was lined up single file for a third attempt at a start. As the race finally went green, Ashley moved into the third position behind Ken Schrader and Eddie Rhinehart. Newman would battle Rhinehart for several laps before finally taking possession of the second position by the race's midpoint as he set his sights on the leader, Schrader. Three laps later, he would catch Schrader as he began to apply heavy pressure. Over the last half of the race, Ashley would throw everything that he had at the leader and would pull even with Schrader on a few occasions, but just couldn't make the pass as he crossed the finish line with a great second place finish!

January 23rd, 2010 - Tucker Motorsports and Ashley Newman opened the 2010 season with a bang as Newman led flag-to-flag to win the team's season opener at the 10th Annual Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday. With 16 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand, Ashley won his heat race to earn the outside front row starting position for the 20 lap, $750 to win feature. Newman would snag the lead at the drop of the green flag and would enjoy a comfortable lead for the first half of the event before, second place runner Eddie Rhinehart began to reel in the leader. Rhinehart would use the highline to take the lead exiting turn four on the 16th circuit before Newman used the highline to overtake Rhinehart for the top spot exiting turn two on the 17th lap. Ashley would go on to survive a daring, last-lap, last corner slide job by Rhinehart to take the win!
