November 14th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports wrapped up the 2009 season over the weekend as they entered the annual Jambalaya 100 at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi. Thirty Super Late Models were on hand for the $5,000 to win/$700 to start event, which was sanctioned by the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Models. Ray qualified in the third starting spot for his heat race, which is where he would finish to earn a transfer to Saturday's feature event. In the main event, Moore started 12th and got as high as the fifth position before spinning and having to go to the back of the pack. He would rebound to a tenth place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped on the event. Ray would like to thank all of his fans and sponsors for their support and will see everyone in 2010!
November 7th, 2009 - Ray entered the 3rd Annual Gumbo Nationals over the weekend at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi. With 36 Super Late Models on hand, Moore set fast time overall and went on to win his heat race to pick up the 3rd starting spot for the 40 lap, $5,000 to win feature. During the race's early stages, Moore would chase leader, Kyle Cummings. Near the race's midway point as Cummings and Moore worked the top, Kevin Sitton slipped by both of them on the bottom as Moore fell to third. Ray would get up in the seat though as he worked his way past Cummings for the second spot before using a power move on the high side exiting turn two on the white flag lap to take the lead as he went on to lead the last half a lap en route to the Gumbo Nationals title and the $5,000 top prize!
November 1st, 2009 - The team entered the Spooky 50 on Sunday afternoon at Fast Trax Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana. After experiencing trouble in his heat race, Moore started 16th in the feature. Despite his poor starting spot, he would not let it hold him back as he advanced to a 6th place finish by the time that the checkered flag waved on the event.
October 25th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports entered the 15th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. The $15,000 to win event drew 60 Super Late Models, and Ray finished 5th in his heat race. With only the top three cars transferring to the feature, Moore was forced to a b-main, where he started third. He would battle for the final transfer for the entire b-main event, but unfortunately fell just short of the transfer spot.
October 3rd, 2009 - Ray traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for the $2,500 to win, O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model event, which drew 27 Super Late Models. After starting 5th in the feature event, Ray battled an ill handling car to a 7th place finish.
September 27th, 2009 - Ray invaded Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 20th Annual Magnolia State 100 over the weekend. After setting second fast time in his group in group qualifications, Ray started second in his heat race. He would take the lead at the drop of the green flag and drove away from the field to pick up the win and earn the fourth starting spot for the 100 lap feature on Saturday night. Heavy rains on Saturday would force the event to be delayed one day to Sunday evening. Early in the $20,009 to win event, Moore advanced as high as the third spot before settling into the fourth position during the race's mid stages. As the event approached the last ten laps, disaster struck for Moore when his right front tire went flat. Ray ducked into the pits for fresh rubber under the caution flag and rejoined the back of the pack. In the closing laps he would advance to an 8th place finish.
September 12th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports returned to action on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models in the 3rd Annual Midsouth Dirt Track Championship. After finishing third in his heat race, Ray locked into the 12th starting spot in the 40 lap, $3,000 to win feature event. Moore would battle an ill-handling car for the first half of the race before ultimately retiring to a 17th place finish.
September 4th, 2009 - Ray will not be racing this weekend. He got extremely sick on Friday afternoon and then became dehydrated as a result. He had to go to the hospital to get IV fluids. He is better now and back at home, but he will not be racing anywhere over the course of the Labor Day weekend.
August 23rd, 2009 - Ray entered a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events over the weekend. On Friday, Moore made his second trip of 2009 to Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win, 30 lap event. After winning his heat race, Ray started fourth in the main event. He would battle a tight race car to a tenth place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped.
On Saturday night, Moore Motorsports invaded Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for another $2,000 to win, 40 lap feature. After having trouble in his heat race, Ray was forced to a b-main event, which he won to earn the sixteenth starting spot for the feature. In the feature, Ray would advance from his deep in the field, starting spot to record a solid 4th place finish!
August 15th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports entered the 17th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 over the weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. With 68 of the nation's top Super Late Model racers on hand, Ray qualified 24th fastest in his group to earn the eighth starting spot for his 20 lap heat race. Moore would only manage a 7th place finish in his heat race, which pinned him with a 12th starting position in his b-main. In the b-main, Moore would begin a charge to the front early in the event, and would get to the fourth position by the time that the checkered flag fell. Unfortunately, only the top two finishers transferred to the feature event, so Ray's weekend would come to an early end.
August 8th, 2009 - Ray decided to enter the Weekly Racing Series event at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi to due some testing. Not only did Moore get to do some testing, but he also came away with the feature win, which was his third win of the season.
July 26th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports was in action in a pair of O'Reilly MSRA/O'Reilly MARS Super Late Model events over the course of the weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas.
After starting seventh in Friday night's 30 lap event against a star-studded field of 34 competitors, Ray battled his way to a 7th place finish.
On Saturday night, 30 Super Late Model competitors turned out for the event, and Ray drew the biggest number at the pill draw resulting in him starting 7th in his heat race. He would only be able to advance one spot to a 6th place finish, which resulted in him starting fourth in his heat race. He charged to a third place finish, but with only the top two cars transferring, Ray had to fall back on an O'Reilly MSRA tour provisional to start the feature in the 21st position. He would advance to a 17th place finish in the main event.
July 18th, 2009 - Ray entered the $2,000 to win/$300 to start, O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model event on Saturday night at Drew County Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas. After starting 15th in the feature event, Moore battled an ill-handling race car to a 13th place finish in the 30 lap event.
July 11th, 2009 - Ray was once again in action tonight at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models. Twenty-one Super Late Models were once again on hand. After finishing fourth in his heat race, Ray started eleventh in the feature and battled his way to an eighth place finish in the 30 lap event.
July 10th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports made a last minute change of plans and decided to race at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas on Friday night with the MSRA Super Late Models. After finishing 3rd in his heat race, Ray started 7th in the feature and survived a rough track to battle his way to a 3rd place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped on the 25 lap event.
July 5th, 2009 - Ray entered round #3 of the Four Crown Nationals on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi in an event that drew 38 Super Late Models. After missing the feature lock-in during group qualifications, he went on to take the win his qualifier to earn the 13th starting spot for the feature event. Despite his starting spot deep in the field, Ray blasted his way to a great 3rd place finish in the 40 lap, $2,000 win event!
The final round of the Four Crown Nationals at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi fell victim to rain. Ray finished second in the final point standings behind Bub McCool.
July 3rd, 2009 - On Friday night the Four Crown Nationals moved to Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi for another $2,000 to win event. After qualifying 5th fastest in his group, Ray started 9th in the feature. At the drop of the green flag he began his march to the front and by the time that the checkered flag felll on the 40 lap event, he was credited with a solid 3rd place finish.
July 2nd, 2009 - Ray kicked off the Four Crown Nationals tonight at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi. With 27 Super Late Models on hand, Moore set quick time in his group and second fast time overall, earning him the outside front row starting spot for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win feature event. After slipping back to third in the race's early stages, Moore rallied late in the race to overtake race leader, Bub McCool, to take home the $2,000 win, which was his second triumph of the 2009 season!
June 27th, 2009 - Ray was in action with the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Models tonight at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi in a $2,500 to win event. After starting third in his heat race and finishing second, he earned the 7th starting position for the 50 lap feature. In the main event, he would advance to a 6th place finish.
June 20th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports had a great night on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on night #2 of the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late stand at the 1/4 mile oval. Twenty-six Super Late Models were on hand for the event and Ray would advance to a 4th place finish from his sixth starting position in heat race action. He accumulated enough points to earn the 12th starting position for the 50 lap event. At the outset of the feature, Ray began his march to the front of the pack, and on lap 49, he would overtake the leader, Kyle Cummings, to lead the last half of a lap en route to his first win of 2009!
June 19th, 2009 - Ray was in action at night #1 of the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model double header at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. After starting 2nd in his heat race, Ray raced his way to the win, and started 4th in the feature event. On a track where passing was difficult, Moore would advance to a 3rd place finishin in the 25 lap event.
June 14th, 2009 - After a week away from the track, Ray and Moore Motorsports returned to action at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for a $2,500 to win, 50 lap O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model event. Moore won his heat race after starting in the second position, which earned him the second starting position for the feature. In the main event, Ray would snag the lead at the drop of the green flag, and would lead the first 48 laps, before lapped traffic caused Ray to check up, and Kenny Merchant slipped by to take the lead and the win. Ray recorded a second place finish.
May 31st, 2009 - Ray competed in the Doug Murphrey Memorial on Saturday night at Fast Trax Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana. He would race his way to a second place finish behind Kyle Cummings in the $2,500 to win Super Late Model event.
May 24th, 2009 - The team traveled to West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri for the 17th Annual O'Reilly Show Me 100 over the weekend. After practicing on Thursday night, Ray struggled in time trials on Friday night, which resulted in him starting 8th in his heat race. Ray would once battle the setup on his entry to a 10th place finish in the heat, which sent him to a b-main event on Saturday night. Moore would fail to transfer to the main event from his b-main, which brought his first attempt at a Show Me 100 to an early end.
On Sunday night, Moore Motorsports traveled south to Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas for a $2,500 to win, 50 lap event with the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model tour. Ray charged from his 4th starting spot in his heat race to take the win and earn the pole position for the feature event. In the feature, Ray would lead the early stages of the event before contact with a lapped car sent Moore spinning to a stop, forcing him to the back of the pack. He would rejoin the field and charge back to a 5th place finish.
May 18th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports entered a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events over the weekend at Drew County Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas. On Friday night, Ray would challenge Kyle Beard for the lead for much of the race, before settling for a second place finish. On Saturday night, Ray was in command of the field in the 40 lap, $2,000 to win event, when disaster struck under caution when a fuel line came lose causing his car to erupt into flames. He was uninjured, but done for the night. He would be scored with a disappointing 13th place finish.
May 10th, 2009 - Ray entered the 3rd Annual Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri over the course of the weekend. 76 Super Late Models turned out for the $30,000 to win event. After losing Friday night's program to severe weather, the show was condensed to a single day show on Saturday. Moore would set the 10th fastest time in his group, which earned him a 4th starting position for his heat race. On the first lap, Ray would spin his #93 Super Late Model forcing him to the back of the pack. However, he wouldn't stay there long as he would mount a charge to the front of the pack getting as high as the third spot before the caution flag waved with a couple of laps to go. On the restart, he would slip back one spot and record a 4th place finish in the heat race, which placed him on the pole for a consolation event. In the consolation event, he would race his way to the second and final transfer spot behind race winner, Dale McDowell.
In the 75 lap feature, he would start in the 21st position. He would race his way to a 19th place finish against the nation's best competition.
April 25th, 2009 - The team entered the $2,500 to win, O'Reilly SUPR sanctioned event tonight at Pike County Speedway in McComb, Mississippi. With 25 Super Late Models on hand, Ray battled his way to a 4th place finish in the feature event.
April 19th, 2009 - Ray competed for the first time ever tonight at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri for night #2 of the O'Reilly MSRA Vs. O'Reilly MARS Challenge. With 31 Super Late Models on hand, Moore advanced from his 5th starting position to a 4th place finish, which earned him the 14th starting position for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win main event. He would race his way to a 17th place finish in the caution free event.
April 18th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports went head-to-head with 30 competitors last night at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas in a $2,000 to win/$400 to start event that featured the O'Reilly MSRA and O'Reilly MARS tours going head to head. After starting third in his heat race and finish 2nd, Moore started 7th in the feature. He would fight tooth and nail in the 40 lap feature to pick up a 4th place finish.
April 11th, 2009 - Ray and the team made the trek to Arkansas for a triple-header over the weekend. Round #1 on Thursday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas fell victim to rain. The second round on Friday at Batesville Motor Speedway was held with cold and windy conditions reigning supreme. With a strong field of 25 Super Late Models on hand, Ray picked up a 14th place finish with an ill-handling car.
On Saturday night, he entered the O'Reilly MSRA Vs. O'Reilly SUPR event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. With 33 Super Late Models on hand, Ray won his heat race in convincing fashion, which earned him the 5th starting position for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win main event. Ray would charge to he front early in the event and was challenging for the lead on lap 22, when the leader Larry Potter got sideways forcing both cars to the infield. Ray would get back on track, but not before losing several spots. He would rebound to a 4th place finish.
April 4th, 2009 - Moore Motorsports took part in the opening events for the 2009 O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model tour over the weekend with a pair of races in Arkansas. On Friday night the action got underway at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas. With 21 Super Late Models on hand, Ray would battle his way to an 8th place finish in the $2,000 to win, 30 lap event.
On Saturday night, the team invaded I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for a 40 lap, $2,000 to win event that drew a field of 28 Super Late Models. Ray started third in his heat race and advanced to a second place finish, which earned him the 5th starting position for the feature. Moore would move into the third position near the race's midway point, and on a lap 30 restart he would race past Kyle Beard for the second spot. He would go on to finish second behind eventual race winner, Wendell Wallace.
March 30th, 2009 - Ray planned to enter a pair of O'Reilly SUPR events over the weekend, but the first leg would fall to rain, while he would record a second place finish on the second leg. Night #1 was rained out on Saturday at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi.
Night #2 was held at Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday. With 25 Super Late Models on hand for the $2,500 to win event, Moore started 4th in his heat race and advanced to a second place finish. With passing points in effect, Ray earned the fourth starting spot for the main event. He would battle his way to the second position early in the event as he pursued pole-sitter, Chris Wall. Moore would contest the top spot several times, but would be unable to make the pass for the lead. He would record a solid second place finish in the feature.
March 22nd, 2009 - Moore Motorsports was in action at Battleground Speedway in Kilgore, Texas over the weekend in the $20,000 to win/$1,000 to start World of Outlaw Super Late Model event. 33 Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and Ray would qualify in the 24th position. He would start sixth in his heat race and battle his way to a fourth place finish, which was the final transfer position in the qualifier. As a result, he was locked into Saturday night's 100 lap finale, where he started 16th. On a rough, heavy track, Ray would race his way to a 9th place finish against many of the nation's top Super Late Model pilots.
March 1st, 2009 - Ray opened his 2009 season over the weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth, Texas in the Texas World Dirt Track Championship.
The $3,500 to win, 40 lap event was held on Saturday, February 28th and was sanctioned by the SUPR Super Late Model tour. The event drew 61 Super Late Models, and after a poor pill draw, Moore was forced to start 9th in his heat race. Mechanical woes would strike in the heat race forcing Ray pitside and to a 12th place finish. As a result, he would utilize a SUPR provisional to start 21st in the feature. However, he wouldn't stay at the back of the pack long as he blasted his way to a solid 9th place finish in the feature!
November 16th, 2008 - Ray was in action last night at Fastrax Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana, where, after starting in the second position for the feature event, he survived an altercation with a lapped car to pick up the feature win! The event marked Ray's final event of 2008, and the team is already getting ready for an exciting 2009 season!
November 9th, 2008 - Ray competed last night in the Jambalaya Nationals at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi. With 17 Super Late Models on hand, Ray finished 3rd in his heat race, which earned him an 8th starting position for the feature event. He would advance to a solid 4th place finish in the main event.
November 2nd, 2008 - With the birth of his new daughter motivating him for the weekend, Ray Moore traveled to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for the 2nd Annual Gumbo Nationals. Ray would turn in a strong qualifying effort on Friday night and went on to win his heat race. Via winning his heat race, Ray started on the front row for the pole sitters dash on Saturday night, which he would lead flag to flag to take the win, and earn the pole for the feature. Ray would lead the first 18 laps of the feature before an intense battle began with Jon Mitchell and Kyle Cummings. The trio would begin to battle three wide for the top spot in an event that was about to take a strange turn. The feature was advertised to be 40 laps, but as the trio completed lap 19, the white flag was displayed. Cummings and Mitchell would slip past Moore for the top two spots on the final lap, and Ray was credited with a 3rd place finish. Ray was very unpleased on the unexpected altering of the laps, but had to settle for the finish.
October 27th, 2008 - Congrats to Ray & Katie Moore on the birth of their daughter, Hallie Rae, at 2:09 pm today. She passed the scales at 7 lbs 13oz.
Ray will look to win a race to celebrate the birth of his daughter this weekend in the 2nd Annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi.
October 19th, 2008 - Moore Motorsports visited victory lane for the second time in two weeks as Ray powered his way to the Louisiana State Championship title at Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday night. The event rewarded the team with a cool $2,500 payday!
October 12th, 2008 - Ray rolled to win #6 of the 2008 season last night at Fast Trax Raceway in Chatham, Louisiana in the Spooker 50. With 22 cars on hand, Moore started 8th in his heat race and charged to a 3rd place finish. His heat race finished earned him an 8th starting position in the feature. However, Ray would not stay there for long as he blasted his way to the lead by lap six and never looked back en route to the $2,500 payday!
October 5th, 2008 - Ray was in action with the AMP tour last night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi. With 32 cars on hand, he recorded a strong 3rd place finish at the 1/4 mile, gumbo oval.
September 28th, 2008 - Moore Motorsports traveled to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 19th Annual Magnolia State 100. In time trials on Friday night, Ray struggled and qualified 7th in his group. As a result, he was forced to start 7th in his heat race. Moore did not let this hamper his weekend though as he blasted around the low side of the 1/3 mile oval to take the lead from race-long leader, Freddy Smith, with a couple of laps remaining in the event. He went on to lead the last few laps to take the win. Ray would go on to draw the sixth starting position for the feature event. He was running 5th in the feature event when a broken belt on the oil pump brought his night to an end on lap 32. Despite the mechanical failure it was a great weekend for Ray and everyone at Moore Motorsports.
September 22nd, 2008 - Ray competed with the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model Series on Saturday night at Paris Motor Speedway in Paris, Texas, where he recorded a 10th place finish in the feature.
September 14th, 2008 - Last night was an extremely rough night for Moore Motorsports. The team made the trek to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi for the $5,000 to win, 14th Annual Ival Cooper Memorial. Ray's night would come to an early end as his engine expired in hot laps.
September 7th, 2008 - Moore Motorsports was in action with the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Models at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas last night. Moore started 1st in his heat race and easily went on to pick up the win. In the feature event, Ray would not be as lucky as he started 3rd and went on to finish in the 7th position.
September 1st, 2008 - Ray picked up a 4th place finish last night in O'Reilly SUPR Action at Champion Raceway Park in Minden, Louisiana.
August 31st, 2008 - Ray Moore made the trek to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi last night for a $2,500 to win O'Reilly SUPR event. Ray started 8th in his heat race, but problems would prevent him from advancing in his heat race. As a result, he would be forced to run a consolation event, but once again, he experienced problems. Due to his woes, Ray was forced to utilitze a series provisional and started 21st in the feature. He charged his way from the back of the pack to a 21st place finish.
August 17th, 2008 - Ray and Moore Motorsports traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas over the weekend for the 16th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100. Heavy rains on Friday night would force the postponement of time trials and heat races. As a result, the entire program was consolidated into a single program on Saturday night with an adjusted format and a consolidated $25,000 to win/$1,000 to start purse. With 67 Super Late Models on hand, Ray qualified 7th in his group during group time trials. The zero inversion pill was drawn for heat race action, so Ray started 7th in his, 10 lap heat race. On a hammer down race track, Moore would advance to a 6th place finish. Ray started 5th in the first b-main event and would record an 8th place finish, which was just short of qualifying for the feature event.
August 10th, 2008 - Ray was in action last night with the AMP Late Model Series at Monticello Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas. With 19 Super Late Models on hand, Ray finished 2nd in his heat race and went on to finish 4th in the feature event.
July 27th, 2008 - Moore Motorsports traveled to Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas last night with the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model tour. In heat race action, Ray started 5th in his heat race and finished in the 4th position. In the feature event, he started 10th in the main event and finished 9th at the conclusion of the race.
July 20th, 2008 - After a week of relaxation on the beach, Ray Moore returned to action on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi in a $2,500 to win SUPR/AMP Super Late Model Series Challenge Event. Ray started 8th in his heat race and advanced to a 4th place finish. His 4th place finish earned him a 9th starting position for the feature event. In the feature he charged to the front taking the lead late in the race. He never looked back en route to the win, which was 5th of the 2008 season.
July 6th, 2008 - Ray competed in a pair of SUPR Super Late Model events over the weekend. On Thursday night, the team traveled to Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. Moore started on the pole of his heat race and picked up the win. With a heat race win in the bag, Ray started 5th in the feature event and advanced to a 4th place finish. On Friday night the racing action moved to Champion Raceway in Minden, Louisiana, where Ray spent much of the night behind the eight ball. He would start 7th in his heat race and was only able to advance to a 5th place finish, which resulted in Ray having to run a b-main. Moore started on the pole of his b-main and picked up the win, which earned him a 17th starting position for the feature event. In the feature, Ray would battle his way to a 7th place finish on a race track where passing came at a premium.
June 22nd, 2008 - Ray made the long trek to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the $10,000 to win/$700 to start O’Reilly Late Model Challenge. He would start 6th in his heat race and got as high as the 2nd position before a late race restart shuffled him back to a 3rd place finish. Passing points were being utilized for the event, with the top 14 cars locking into the feature event. Unfortunately Ray accumulated the 15th most points via heat race action and had to run a consolation event. In his b-main, he worked the lowside of the track masterfully and picked up the win in a photo finish. Via his win, Moore earned the 15th starting position for the 51 lap feature event. He would get as high as the 9th position in the feature before settling for an 11th place finish.
June 15th, 2008 - Ray set out to compete in a pair of AMP Late Model Series events this weekend in the state of Arkansas. However, shortly before heat race action on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas, the event was nixed by rain. On Saturday night the action shifted to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas, where the driver of the #93 Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model won his 4th event of the year.
June 2nd, 2008 - Moore Motorsports competed in a single event over the weekend in the Lone Star state at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas. Twenty-Three Super Late Models were on hand for the event. Ray started 3rd in his heat race, and managed a 3rd place finish. In the feature event Ray started 8th and advanced to a 3rd place finish.
May 28th, 2008 - Ray was in action with the SUPR Late Models on Sunday night at Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ray started on the pole and led the first 27 laps before his left rear tire exploded ending his night. Ray was credited with an 11th place finish.
May 25th, 2008 - Ray was originally slated to travel to the 16th Annual O'Reilly Show Me 100 at West Plains Motor Speedway, but due to a work conflict at his family business, he was forced to race locally this weekend. On Friday night, Ray competed at Sabine Motor Speedway in Many, Louisiana where he recorded a 6th place finish after starting 10th in the main event. On Saturday, the team traveled to Champion Motorsports Park in Minden, Louisiana, where he moved from his 12th starting spot to a 5th place finish.
May 18th, 2008 - Ray was scheduled to compete in a pair of events over the weekend with the O'Reilly MSRA, but Friday night was nixed by rain at 67 Speedway. On Saturday night, Moore competed at Arkansas Motor Speedway and came away with a 6th place finish in the feature event after starting in the 12th position, and having to go to the back of the pack after being spun midway through the event.
May 11th, 2008 - Ray was in action in a double header over the weekend with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi. On Friday night, Ray was leading the feature event with 10 laps to go when contact with a lapped car sent him spinning off the track. He restarted on the tail of the feature, and charged back to a 4th place finish. On Saturday night, Moore started 12th in the feature event, and made his way to the front en route to the feature win in the 40 lap event. The win marked his 3rd of 2008.
May 5th, 2008 - Ray set out to compete in three events this weekend, but the first event at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas was rained out. On Saturday night, he was in action at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana with the O'Reilly SUPR Late Models. He came away with a 4th place finish. On Sunday night, the team made the last minute decision to compete at Fast Trax Speedway in Chatham, Lousiana in the $1,500 to win Doug Murphrey Memorial. Ray started 3rd in the feature and took the lead early on, and never looked back en route to his second feature win of the year.
April 28th, 2008 - Ray competed at Golden Triangle Speedway in Beaumont, Texas on Friday night. He was up to 5th in the feature on a dry track, when he tried to pass a lapped car on the highside late in the race. As Moore moved up the track he lost traction, allowing a few competitors to slip by. He was credited with a 7th place finish. On Saturday night, Moore Motorsports was slated to be in action at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, but the event was nixed by rain.
April 24th, 2008 - Welcome to the launch of the official internet home of Ray Moore from Shreveport, Louisiana. This weekend, Ray will enter a pair of SUPR events.
