February 6th, 2005 - All tracks, who are involved with the Rebel
Challenge Weekly Racing Series, should make note that this is a
brand new series being used to promote weekly racing programs at
various tracks in the South. This program is in no way tied to special
events with similar names (i.e. The Rebel Challenge at Columbus
Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi). There has been some confusion
that this series is part of special events at other tracks and is
a traveling organization. For a full explanation of the premise
of this series please visit the About
section. If you have any other questions, please contact Robert
or Daniel Brown at 662-369-8108.
February 6th, 2005 - The Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series
website has officially been launched by Ben Shelton (www.MidSouthRacing.com).
Check back frequently in the coming days as more information is
added, which includes more Tracks
being added to the weekly racing series.
Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing
Series Goal:
The design of the Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series is to promote
weekly racing or budget racing, while simultaneously limiting travel.
However, in order to make it fair to the drivers, who run 50-80
times versus the drivers, who only run 20-35 times a year, only
the top 18 finishes will count. This will help the car counts, which
in turn helps track promoters, and provides fans with a better show.
This results in better racing, which brings more fans to the track
at an affordable price.
By mid-summer, with tracks working together, the Rebel Challenge
Weekly Racing Series hopes to see some Thursday, Friday, & Saturday
tripe headers along with some Friday, Saturday, & Sunday combos,
and maybe even a Monday - Friday Mini Summer Nationals. The support
of the drivers and tracks will ultimately determine
the success of this series.
