What a WILD START … almost as soon as the green flag dropped the RED FLAG came out!! Willpenny Smith, who was the pole sitter, tried to cut up in front of the #76 driven by Jay Grooms as they headed down the front stretch … BUT did NOT have him cleared … and the ACTION started. This caused a chain reaction as Grooms was pushing Smith, Trevor Woodard was pushing Grooms and while all the pushing was going on Smith was flipping over and over, with Grooms almost flipping over on him. The final flip left Smith on his roof … but he did walk away from this mess!!! This would sideline both Smith and Grooms for the night!!! Once we went back to racing it was Brian Vandygriff leading the first five laps but it would be Trevor Woodard with the final three for the win.

The second caution also come on lap eleven when Tony Simmons and Tommy Tucker got together on the backstretch. It ended the night for Tommy Tucker and Simmons had to make a trip to the pits and return to take up the rear.
