THUNDERHILL RACEWAY The top three qualifiers in the Super Late Model division were: Top five qualifiers for the Open Wheel $1200 to win special: Crate/Limited Late Model #1 Open Wheel Mini Modified Street #1 Street Stock #1 Mini Stock #1 Outlaw Feature Time!! In the Limited Late Model division Brad Skinner led the full twenty laps of the race for his first win of the season. The only caution in this race came on lap twelve when Bruce Belew went over turn two, on his own. The one caution in this race came on lap two when T.J. Taylor got into Michael Kennedy in turn four. Taylor (8) Tim Hobby The Super Late Model division saw Eric Hickerson lead the full twenty-five laps to take his first win of the season in a one caution race. That caution came on lap twenty-two when Tommy Taylor stalled on the front stretch. On the first start, Jason Markewitz jumped the start and was rolled back one row, on the second attempt Tyler Wood and Justin Cross got together on the front stretch, then on the third try Ron Bailey and Belvie Jordan spun in turn two. It was single file on the next start with Jeff Weaver taking the lead and never looking back as he led the full twenty-five laps to not only win this special event but also make it three straight wins at Thunderhill. On lap fourteen Eddie Rhinehart drew the caution when he got into Belvie Jordan in turn four. With a field of thirteen Street Stocks we had three restarts as Brian Russ went over turn two, then Bubba Green spun in turn one and then Jim Floyd spun in turn four. After going single file it would be Ben Gillespie who led the full fifteen laps to pick up his first win of the season. The Mini Stock class saw four lead changes as Kevin Staggs led the first four laps, Dillon Scott led laps five thru fourteen, Jr. Roland led lap fifteen BUT due to fluid that was put down on the track on the white flag lap that cause the leader to spin, the win went to Scott. He looked like some kind of NEW open wheel, with the whole right side of his car missing.
