A warm and humid August night was the backdrop for this evening’s race schedule at North Central Arkansas Speedway.

The Super Stock division got the feature racing action underway with Curt Cotter and Donnie Miller holding down the front row. Miller grabbed the lead exiting turn two and never looked back, leading each of the twenty laps in the caution-free race. Cotter closed within four car-lengths of the leader Miller late in the event but was never able to close enough to make a serious challenge for the lead. Joe Davenport and Buddy Parks fought for the third spot, with Parks taking over the third spot for good by midrace.

Super Stock Final Results: 1) #26M Donnie Miller,  2)  #13 Curt Cotter,  3) #7 Buddy Parks,  4) #28 Joe Davenport,  5) #43 Mark Shockley,  6) #41 Kandy Methvin

It took four tries to get the Pure Stock feature race underway, having to finally line up single file behind Matthew Seaman to get the first official lap recorded on the scoring sheet. Coty Campbell and Jimmie Blair ran second and third behind Seaman for the first three laps until Blair slowed and left the track for the night on lap four. Three caution periods slowed the place near halfway, two involving Dylan Pinson that kept him at the back of the field for restarts. In the final green flag run to the finish Campbell pressured Seaman on the restart but couldn’t keep pace with the eventual winner. Pinson would make the move into his second place finishing position on lap sixteen, dropping Campbell back to a third place finish for the night.
Pure Stocks Final Results: 1) #T10 Matthew Seaman, 2) #89 Dylan Pinson,  #98Matt Rush,  3) #C4 Coty Campbell,  4) #7D Drew Horton,  5) #2X Jimmie Blair,  6) #7L Larry West,  DNS) #32 Lance Raney,  DQ) #75 Rick Roberts

The USRA B-Modified feature race was the second of three to run caution free, getting started with Steve Muilenburg and John Briggs out in front of the field. At the end of the opening lap, Muilenburg had moved easily in front of a battle for the second spot between Jason Brigman and Jason Snodgrass. Snodgrass passed Brigman on lap four and set off in pursuit of Muilenburg. As the last half of the race developed, Muilenburg pulled away to take the win, Snodgrass crossed the line in second and Brigman finished third.

USRA B-Modified Final Results: 1) #33 Steve Muilenburg,  2) #71 Jason Snodgrass,  3) #24B Jason Brigman,  4) #9P Pride Pendergrass,  5) #48 Kevin Grissum,  6) #18K Kyle Cotter,  7) #5 John Briggs

Kevin Collins led the field to the starting green flag in the Hobby Stock feature race with Richard Carson outside the passenger side door of the pole-sitter’s car. Carson used the high line to his advantage and took the early lead as the top two cars came across the line time and time again in a door-to-door battle for the lead. Collins kept his car on the lower line of the track, faster in turns three and four, but Carson was able to utilize the top of the track to hold of the many challenges of Collins through lap thirteen when Collins took the lead. Carson regained the top spot on lap seventeen and Collins tried high and low to bet back to the front before eventually making the winning pass coming off turn four of the final lap. With the checkered flag waving the two crossed the finish line side-by-side with Collins in front of Carson by less the half a car-length. Billy Hardin crossed the line running third.

Hobby Stock Final Results: 1) #2 Kevin Collins,  2) #29 Richard Carson,  3) #11 Billy Hardin,  #4) #6 Tim Steinhaus,  5) #45 Matt Bolen,  DNS) #K1 Kyler Vanscoy,  DNS) #32 James Raney
