Rusty Clark followed Collins past Carson on the high side of the track to hold second place on the scorecard at the end of lap one with Carson holding off Hunter Duren for third on the opening lap. Daniel Sisco and Chris Davidson made it a five-car fight for positions two through six by lap three with drivers looking all over for the quickest way around track.
