Winchester Speedway Ready for 11th Annual WINTERFEST on February 22nd, 2014
Winchester, TN (02/10/2014)- Winchester Speedway in Winchester, TN will host its 11th Annual WINTERFEST event on February 22, 2014, featuring a $3000 to-win $300 To-Start 40 lap super late model race, along with 2 Barrel/Crate Late Models, Modified Stock, Street Sock, E-Mod Openwheels, Outlaw Mini Stock, Vintage Dwarf Cars and Mini Stock divisions racing to kick off the 2014 race season in the mid-state.
Winchester Speedway owners Jimmy and Sharon Nowlin will host the 11th Annual WINTERFEST event at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, TN) for the fourth time under their ownership, 2014 will be no different as Winchester Speedway sets the stage for 2014 dirt track racing scene by bringing in the south’s best of the best for the 11th Annual WINTERFEST event paying $3000 to-win for the Super Late Models.
Past Winchester Speedway WINTERFEST Champions include; 2003 Danny Peoples, 2004 Jerry Owens, 2005 Todd Morrow, 2006 Brandon King, 2007, Lamar Scoggins, 2008 Ray Cook, 2009 Billy Mayo, 2011 Tim Busha, 2012 Corey Posey and 2013 Ray Cook.
Starting Friday February 21st, 2014 there will be an Open Practice with Gates Opening at 3pm and Practice from 4-8pm. Grandstands $10, Pits $15.
On Saturday February 22nd, 2014 action will get underway with gates opening at 9 am, cars entering to race must be entered by 11:30 am. The Drivers meeting will take place at 11:30 am and hot laps and racing will follow after the drivers meeting.
Classes Racing Will Include Super Late Model, Two Barrel Late Models , Modified Stock, Street Stock, E-Mod Openwheels, Outlaw Mini Stock, Vintage Dwarf Cars and Mini Stock
Super Late Models will qualify and run heat races to determine starting position for the feature. There will be a $100 entry fee for the super late models and non qualifiers will receive $50 back. All other classes will run heat races to determine starting positions for the feature event. 2 Barrel/Crates will qualify and line up in the feature based on their qualifying times. Raceivers will be Mandatory for all classes.
Saturday February 22nd, 2014 Gates Open at 9 am, Drivers Meeting 11:30 am and hot laps and racing will follow after the drivers meeting. Admission for Saturday’s Winterfest event will be $17 for Grand Stands, Kids 12 and Under Free and Pit Admission will be $30, Kids 6-12 $10.
