19th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot this Weekend

Meridian, Mississippi (10/21/13) The 19th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic comes to life at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) this weekend, October 24th-26th, 2013 as competitors from across the nation look to grab a coveted win in the mega-event!

On the heels of another successful Coors Light Fall Classic in 2012, the event is back for more in 2013. For the nineteenth straight year, many of the best competitors in the nation and the region will converge on the southeast Mississippi facility to contend for their respective championships. The 1/3 mile, clay oval is known for its consistently racy surface, which is prepared and maintained by racing veteran, Rodney Wing. This combined with the legendary event that was created by Charles and Jannie Thrash results in one of the most anticipated events of each racing season.

A strong field of Super Late Model competitors from throughout the nation will be looking to grab the Coors Light Fall Nationals crown including two-time and defending champion, Don O'Neal from Martinsville, Indiana. Entries from over ten states have been received so far including Brian Birkhofer (Iowa), Wendell Wallace (Arkansas), Dennis Erb Jr. (Illinois), Jason Fitzgerald (Florida), Chris Wall (Louisiana), Jack Sullivan (Arkansas), Morgan Bagley (Texas), Ray Moore (Louisiana), Dane Dacus (Tennessee), Clint Smith (Georgia), David Breazeale (Mississippi), and a host of others.

Drivers please note that to ensure fair competition that the winner's check will be held for approximately one week pending tire test results from an independent laboratory.

The 2013 edition of the event will be headlined by a $15,000 to win/$1,000 to start, 100 lap Super Late Model event, which boasts a total Super Late Model purse in excess of $55,000. In 2012 Don O'Neal topped a field of 57 Super Late Model competitors, representing 11 states, to claim his second career event title, and will likely be back to defend his title in the 100 lap event against a talented field of competitors.
