Mark Whitener Tops Grand Reopening of All-Tech Raceway

Middleburg, Florida (08/11/15) – Mark Whitener celebrated the grand reopening of All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) by scoring the $1,500 victory behind the wheel of the Big Frog Motorsports #58 Integra Shocks/Rocket Super Late Model.

Mark Whitener and the Big Frog Motorsports team made the trip to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Friday night with plans to compete in the Late Model division. However, after waiting around for persistent rains to come to an end, it was decided to pack up and prepare for Saturday.

Heading to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) on Saturday evening, Mark looked to bring home his sixth victory of the season during the grand opening of the track. With fourteen Super Late Models registered, Whitener scored a 3rd place finish in his heat. Battling for 20-laps in the feature, Mark jumped to the lead early and cruised to his sixth victory of the season with Jimmy Sharpe Jr., Tyler Crowder, Russell Brown, and Jake Perkins completing the top five.

“It’s really great to see this track reopening, and it’s equally awesome to score the win,” said Whitener. “We’ve got some big races on the horizon, and our team is really performing well right now. Hopefully we can claim some big paydays.”

Tyler Erb Bests Battleground SUPR Foes; Topless 100 Next

Magnolia, Texas (08/11/15) – 18-year-old, Tyler Erb piloted his First Class Septic #91 Rocket by Erb Super Late Model to the victory with the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Races (SUPR) tour on Friday evening at Battleground Race Park.

Tyler Erb made the short trip to Battleground Race Park (Highlands, Texas) on Friday night for the $1,000 to win P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) series event. With seventeen Super Late Models signed in, Tyler scored a 3rd place starting spot for the feature event. In the 20 lap finale Erb took the lead on the first lap and cruised to his fourth victory of the season. Scoring his third-career P&W Sales SUPR win, Tyler Erb ousted Jon Mitchell, Allen Tippen, Phil Dixon and Rob Litton.

Saturday night saw an increased car count of twenty-two Super Late Models for the $2,000 to win event. Earning a 7th place starting spot for the feature, Tyler advanced three spots in the 40-lapper, recording a 4th place finish behind Jon Mitchell, Curt Lipsey, Ricky Duke Jr., with Patrik Daniel coming in 5th.

Kyle Beard Sweeps NEA Again; Topless 100 Next

Trumann, Arkansas (08/11/15) – Trumann, Arkansas’ racer, Kyle Beard had another phenomenal outing at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) on Friday evening, where he swept the action in both the Super Late Model and Modified divisions.

Kyle won the second heat race to earn the outside-front-row, starting spot for the Super Late Model feature. He jumped to the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back on his way to the victory behind the wheel of his Gary Beard Trucking #86 Bob Pierce Super Late Model.

The Modified division also found Beard in victory lane in the finale in Shawn Mann's #86 GRT. After finishing 2nd in his heat race, Kyle started 3rd in the finale. He grabbed the lead on the opening lap before cruising to his second win of the night.

“Our home track has been really good to us this year, and hopefully we can take the momentum into this weekend’s Topless 100,” noted Beard.

Mike Benedum Bags First Win of 2015

Salem, West Virginia (08/11/15) - Mike Benedum finally shook the monkey from his back on Saturday evening and parked his #25 BSI Well Service/Longhorn/Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model in victory lane for the first time with a triumph in AMRA action at Ohio Valley Speedway.

On Saturday night Mike Benedum made the trip to Ohio Valley Speedway (Lubeck, West Virginia) for the American Motor Racing Association (AMRA) event. With twenty cars taking part in the event Benedum scored a heat race victory, transferring him into the A-Main. In the finale Benedum captured his first feature victory of the season with Butch McGill, Josh Hall, Colten Burdette, and Larry Clark rounding out the top five.

“This year has been an uphill battle, so it feels fantastic to finally get our first win,” said Benedum. “Hopefully with the first one out of the way, the rest will come much easier.”
