Ricky Weiss Increases Win Total to Eighteen

Headingly, Manitoba, Canada (09/23/14) - Ricky Weiss continued to show his dominance on Friday night at Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Canada), winning the opening round of the doubleheader championship weekend in his #7 Derrick's Sandblasting/Bloomquist/ Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Ricky raced to a second place finish in heat race action to lock into the eighth starting position on the feature grid. Despite starting deep in the pack in the main event Weiss drove his #7 Derrick's Sandblasting/Bloomquist Super Late Model through the field to his eighteenth victory of the season over Mike Balcaen, Kevin Sexton, Coard Allard, and Tom Balcaen.

Rain moved into the area on Saturday, forcing officials to postpone the evening’s events to Thursday, September 25th.

"Our car was once again on a rail on Friday night, and I can't thank our team again for the awesome hot rod that they give me every time that I hit the track," said Weiss. "We'll head back this Thursday for the make-up event and will look to sweep the event."
