FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 13, 2009 Wendell Wallace Wraps Up 2009 Season with Top Ten Effort in Cotton Pickin 100 (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace wrapped up his version of the 2009 racing season over the November 6-7 weekend at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi! Aboard the #1 GRT House Car that Jack Sullivan will drive in 2010, Wendell closed out his year with a strong top ten finish in the $15,000 to win 'Cotton Pickin 100.' On Friday night, Wendell timed in second fastest in his group during qualifying and later ran second in his stout heat race. After starting eighth in the 100-lap A-Main on Saturday evening, the Batesville, Arkansas native brought home a solid ninth place performance in the unsanctioned event. Wendell entered forty-seven events during the 2009 season and reached victory lane on seven different occasions. (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team traveled to the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Friday and Saturday, November 6-7 for the annual running of the 'Cotton Pickin 100.' The unsanctioned event at the "Mag" paid $15,000 to the winner. On Friday night, Billy Moyer laid down the quickest lap of the 60 entrants during qualifying and later won his competitive heat race. The Batesville, Arkansas native then led the field to green in the 'Cotton Pickin 100' on Saturday evening. Billy led the first four circuits of the race before giving way to Chris Wall. The driver known as "Mr. Smooth" retook the top spot from Wall on lap fifty-nine and held him off throughout the late stages of the event to earn his third 'Cotton Pickin 100' title. Billy notched his thirteenth win of the 2009 racing season and the $15,000 payday by beating Chris Wall, Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth, Bill Frye, and Neil Baggett to the checkers.
