November to remember begins at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, ends at 9th Annual USMTS Winter Nationals at Ark-La-Tex Speedway
VIVIAN, La.-Racers and fans are gearing up for an extreme end-of-season excursion for the United States Modified Touring Series with five nights of on-track action to kick off the month of November and put the wraps on the 2015 campaign.

The fire-breathing USMTS Modifieds will return to the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., to tackle the 9th Annual USMTS Winter Nationals presented by YouDirt.com next Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 4-7.

But before that, a special one-night affair will take place in Ardmore, Okla., as the Southern Oklahoma Speedway hosts a $3,000-to-win event on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Jason Hughes was the winner in 2008 and 2009 at the former Lake Country Speedway. John and Nicky Webb acquired the facility in 2011, breathed new life into the facility and renamed it Southern Oklahoma Speedway.

Since then, Rodney Sanders and Stormy Scott each have three wins, Ryan Gustin has two and visiting victory lane once previously are Johnny Scott and Thomas Tillison Jr. captured the final night of last year's Halloween Havoc.

Most recently, Triston Dycus won his first and only USMTS main event when the series visited SOS this past June.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing gets underway at 7:30. Grandstand tickets are $20, seniors and youth ages 6-12 get in for $15 and children under 6 get in for free. Pit passes are $30. Limited Mods will also be racing.

The Southern Oklahoma Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located 0.7 mile east of I-35 (exit 29) on US 70, then 1.8 miles south on US 77. For more information call 405-627-1766 or click www.southernoklahomaspeedway.com to visit the track's official website.

The Ark-La-Tex Speedway will host practice night on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., and an entire team can get into the pits for one low price. Any vehicle pulling a race car will gain entrance for $50 and includes everybody in the tow vehicle. Those entering the pits without a race team are $20 for an arm band. Admission to the grandstands is free.

The on-track battles commence on Thursday and wrap up Saturday night. Thursday's main event winner will earn $2,000 while Friday's victor will pocket $3,000 and Saturday's finale will award $4,000 to the winner.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. all three nights. Grandstand tickets are $15 on Thursday and Friday, and a seat for Saturday's finale is $20. Kids ages 12 and under get in free all three days. Pit passes are $35 each night.

Factory Stocks and Limited Mods will also be competing all three days. Factory Stocks will pay $300 to win Thursday, $400 to win Friday and $500 to win Saturday. Limited Mods will pay $400, $500 and $600 to win, respectively. Pro Mods will round out the four-division card on Saturday with a $300 top prize up for grabs.

This will be the second time that the crown jewel event will be held at Gene Boyter's 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval after staging the previous seven Winter Nationals at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas.

Racing on his home track, Chris Henigan has captured both of his USMTS wins here. In last year's Winter Nationals trifecta, Cade Dillard posted his career-first USMTS victory on Thursday night, Rodney Sanders claimed Friday's feature and nine-time USMTS national champ Kelly Shryock ended the season on a high note with a trip to the winner's circle on Saturday.

Drivers can download entry forms for both events at www.usmts.com/downloads.
