Five-night, five-track, three-state swing ahead in Hunt for the USMTS Casey's Cup

SUPERIOR, Wis. (Aug. 7) -- The Hunt for the USMTS Casey's Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental embarks on a five-night, five-track swing through Wisconsin, Minnesota and Northern Iowa this Wednesday-Sunday, Aug. 10-14.

All three events will carry a $3,000 top prize with a minimum of $250 to start the Casey's General Stores "A" Main each night.

On Wednesday, the Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., hosts the stars and cars of the United States Modified Touring Series with hot laps beginning at 6:30 and racing at 7:00. Wissota Super Stocks, Wissota Midwest Mods and Wissota Pure Stocks will also be on the card.

The Amsoil Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located three miles south of Superior on Tower Ave. (SR 35), at the Head of the Lake Fairgrounds in Superior, Wis. For more information, visit www.amsoilspeedway.com.

Thursday, Aug, 11, is highlighted by a trip to the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis., for the third straight year. The pit gate opens at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hot laps begin at 7:00 and the green flag waves at 7:30. Midwest Mods and Liquid Nitro Mod Lites will also be racing.

Spectator admission is $20, youth ages 11 to 16 are $10 and kids 10 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35.

The Red Cedar Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located on the east side of Menomonie, Wis., on SR 29 (at the Dunn County Fairgrounds). For more information, check out www.redcedarspeedway.com online.

The Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., will welcome the Best of the Best in dirt modified racing on Friday, Aug. 12, presented by Coke Bottling Company of Winona.

For fans arriving early, Slingshots will be racing on the smaller infield track beginning at 5:45. Green flag action begins at 6:45 with USRA Late Models, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, Wissota Super Stocks and Hornets rounding out the program.

Adult spectator admission is $20 and seniors are just $18. Kids and students under 23 get in for free with proper i.d. Race fans can pick up $2-off coupons at Casey's General Stores locations in Preston and Rochester, Minn., on race day.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, the tireless touring titans of the USMTS make their second stop of the season at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minn.

Presented by Roseville Midway Ford, gates open at 4:00, hot laps start at 6:15 and racing begins at 6:30. In addition to the USMTS Modifieds, the program will also feature Midwest Mods, Street Stocks and Hornets.

Adult general admission tickets are $20. Seniors, students and members of the military get in for $18, and kids ages 12 and under are free. Trackside parking is an additional $25. V.I.P. suites are also available for $150. Pit passes are $35. Race fans can pick up $2-off coupons at Casey's General Stores locations in Cambridge, Milaca, Ogilvie and Princeton on race day.

Then on Sunday, Aug. 14, the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, hosts the eighth round of the Hunt for the USMTS Casey's Cup.

Sunday's show will also feature USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Rookies Rockin' Tuners tackling the legendary speedplant. The pit gate opens at 4:00, spectator gates open at 5:00, hot laps kick off at 6:30 and racing gets underway at 7:00.

General admission tickets are $20, juniors and seniors are just $15 and kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $35. Race fans can pick up $2-off coupons at Casey's General Stores locations in Clear Lake, Manly, Mason City and Nora Springs on race day.

Defending USMTS national champion Jason Hughes leads the points battle after three rounds as he seeks his third title and a sweep of all three regions and The Hunt in 2016.

When the checkered flag drops on opening night of the Featherlite Fall Jamboree on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., the USMTS will crown it's 18th national champion.
