Clint Bowyer to compete Tuesday at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 13) -- NASCAR superstar Clint Bowyer will return to his former stomping grounds this Tuesday, July 16, when the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and United States Modified Touring Series team up for the "Clash of the Titans" event at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

Bowyer, who owns the #15 Georgia Boot dirt late model driven by Steve Francis and the #5 Peak Motor Oil dirt late model driven by Jared Landers, will be behind the wheel of a third Georgia Boot-sponsored team car.

Originally from Emporia, Kan., Bowyer grew up racing in the Kansas City area and has made many laps around the legendary at Lakeside Speedway where he won more than 30 feature races and two track championships from 2000-2003. 1

Bowyer has fielded two full-time dirt late model teams on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the past two years and will be looking to mix it up with some of the nation's top drivers on the series at Lakeside Speedway.

When his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule has allowed, he has driven dirt late models and modifieds in the past, including several USMTS events.

Georgia Boot will have a display booth at both Lakeside Speedway on Tuesday and Hamilton County Speedway on Wednesday, July 17. Fans can visit the Georgia Boot display at both race tracks and see all the latest shoes and apparel. The company has put together a unique promotion this year with the "Walk in our Boots" sweepstakes. The grand prize winner will receive a 2013 3600 Bobcat 4x4 UTV, a pair of Georgia Boots, a Georgia Boot Comfort Core Loggers T-shirt and a Georgia Boot hat.. Advanced tickets are $25 for adults, kids ages 13-16 are $10 and children ages 6-12 are $5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.usmts.com/shop/tickets.asp through Sunday, July 14. At the gate on race night, adult tickets are $30, kids 13-16 are $15 and children 6-12 are $10. Pit passes are $40 each night.

On both days, pit gates will open at 2:00 and grandstands open at 4:00. There will be an autograph session for fans from 5:30 -6:00 each day, with hot laps set for 6:45 and racing to follow.
