USMTS Lonestar State tripleheader postponed to April

DALLAS, Texas-Thanks to a wintry, rainy start to the month of March in North Texas, the kick-off to the USMTS Double H Bands Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports will have to wait for a few weeks, officials announced today.

The Lonestar State tripleheader set for Thursday-Saturday, March 12-14, has been postponed due to cold and ice which turned to heavy rain this week in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have made track conditions unsafe and not conducive to giving fans the kind of show they expect from the USMTS.

The sun has remained hidden for the better part of the pat two weeks in Dallas.

The events slated for the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, RPM Speedway in Crandall and Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore are tentatively set to try again sometime in April.

An announcement regarding the exact make-up dates will be made in the next couple of days.

Attention now turns to the MSD Central Region presented by Day Motor Sports which kicks off Friday, March 20, at the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.

From there, the series heads to the Humboldt (Kan.) Speedway on Saturday, March 21, and then wraps up the trio of $3,000-to-win races on Sunday, March 22, at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo.

All of this leads up to the $10,000-to-win King of America V Modified Nationals presented by Chix Gear the following week, Thursday-Saturday, March 26-28, back at the Humboldt Speedway, which will be recorded for broadcast to a national television audience this summer on MAVTV.
