Deadline Feb. 4 for USMTS awards banquet tickets

ALTOONA, Iowa (Jan. 14) – The United States Modified Touring Series will celebrate the 2012 season champions and the rest of the Best of the Best in open-wheel dirt modified racing at this year’s awards banquet on Friday, Feb. 8, at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa.

The deadline for reserved tickets for this year’s celebration is Monday, Feb. 4.

Tickets are $40 per person and include a Premier Dinner Buffet with the choice of three entrees and a cash bar, plus live entertainment following the awards ceremony. Tickets must be ordered in advance by Feb. 4 and will not be available at the door.

Ryan Gustin, who captured his second straight USMTS national championship along with the USMTS Casey’s Cup Series crown in 2012, will be honored at the ceremony, along with USMTS Rookie of the Year Stormy Scott plus several others.

In addition, drivers competing in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series will also be honored.

Attendance at the awards banquet is open to drivers, fans, media and sponsors. Business casual attire is recommended (no jeans).

Social hour runs from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., dinner will be from 7:15 to 8 p.m., the USRA awards presentations will take place from 8-9 p.m. and the USMTS awards will be handed out beginning at 9 p.m.
