Nicholson streaks to second USCS win in a row at Tennessee  National Raceway on Saturday

Hohenwald, TN - Anthony Nicholson from Bartlett, Tennessee streaked to his second United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters feature win in a row on Saturday night at Tennessee National Raceway. It was Nicholson's fourth career win and second visit of the 2013 season to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane. He started from the K&N Filters Pole Position and led every lap of the 30 lap event.

Ten-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray who started outside the front row with Nicholson followed the 2008 USCS Rookie of the Year across the finish line in the runner-up spot at the end of the 30-lap main event. Defending series Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas and current USCS National point’s leader Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas followed in the third and fourth place positions respectively. Justin Webb from Drummonds, Tennessee had his best USCS run of the season and finished in fifth place.

Another former USCS Rookie of the Year and two-time feature winner in the series , Jerod Roller from Hernando, Mississippi finished ahead of the next group of drivers in sixth place. The 2010 USCS Rookie of the Year and four time feature winner, Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee finished in the seventh position. Young gun Casey Rowland from Nesbit, Mississippi followed in eighth place. The youngest driver in the field, 17 year-old Brandon Hanks from Burleson, Tennessee finished in ninth place after winning the second heat race and 2012 USCS Rookie of the Year, Jeff Willingham from Ripley, Mississippi completed the top ten drivers.

Tim Crawley won the 6 cars, 6 laps Hoosier Tire Speed Dash. Anthony Nicholson, then won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. Rookie driver, Brandon Hanks won the Butlerbuilt Second Heat. After the first heat race winner (Anthony Nicholson ) drew a four in the K&N Filters Pole Award drawing Nicholson was awarded the K&N Filters Pole Position.  Jerod Roller also advanced the most positions in the main event (6 cars) to earn the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hardcharger Award.

The next USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint car event will the two-day USCS Senoia Summer Nationals IV at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on Friday and Saturday, September 20th and 21st. The eventual 2012 series Champion, Tim Crawley was the winner of the Senoia Raceway USCS Summer Nationals event for the USCS Outlaw style sprint cars on both nights held in August last year..
