USCS Outlaw Sprint Cars and USCS Outlaw Modifieds headline the USCS “Summer Speed Xplosion” at Jackson Motor Speedway on SATURDAY, August 15th

Atlanta, GA – August 6, 2015 – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars headline the USCS “Summer Speed Xpolsion” at historic Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi on Saturday, August 15th. It will be the second time this season  that the United Sprint Car Series has invaded the ¼ mile speed plant as headliners for an event that also  features the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Touring Series, Crate Late Models, Mississippi State Street Stock Series and Factory Stocks on the avtion-packed racing card.

The exotic USCS Outlaw Thunder winged sprint cars weight only 1300 pounds with 700+ horsepower engines. Those two elements in addition to a huge 25 square foot top wing and seventeen inch wide specially designed Hoosier rear race tires make them the fastest cars ever to compete on the high-banked ¼ mile oval.  The USCS outlaw sprint cars are expected to reach speeds over 100 miles per hour on the straight-aways at Jackson Motor Speedway.

The event at JMS awards the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour drivers with both USCS Outlaw Thunder National championship and Mid South Thunder Tour regional series championship points. The Mid South regional series competes in Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. The event is expected to draw drivers from six or more states including some of the top ranked drivers in North America.

During the 17th annual Ival Cooper Memorial Race, on May 23rd of this year, sanctioned by the USCS the 2013 United Sprint Car Series National Champion, Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas captured the victory over 33 of the Nation’s best..  It was Hagar;s second Ival Cooper Memorial race victory in a row.

J.C Waller from Arlington, Tennessee battled Nesbit, Mississippi’s Chris Moore all the way to the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane in the K&N Filters USCS Modified  25 lap main event.

In addition to the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars, the racing card includes the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds and the speedway’s Modified division regulars, who square off in a battle royale with $1000 going to the winner. The Jackson Motor Speedway Crate Late Models and the Mississippi State Street Stock division is also on the racing card as is the Factory Stock division.

USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars, USCS Outlaw Modifieds and Super Late Models headline Ellis Palasini Black Widow Classic at Greenville Speedway on Friday, August 14th

Atlanta, GA  – August 9,2015 - – Delta race fans get another shot of high speed entertainment when the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars invade Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for an action-packed night of racing this Friday night (August 14th ). The USCS sprint cars are the headliners of the 3rd annual Ellis Palasini Black Widow Classic. The event honors Mississippi Delta racing legend Ellis Palasini from nearby Leland, Mississippi.

The event features two USCS racing divisions as co-headliners of the event. The exotic 700 Horsepower, 1300 pound winged open wheel machines will contest their second racing events of the 2015 season on the Gumbo clay surface of the the historic ¼ mile oval at Greenville Speedway. The K&N Filters Outlaw Modified Series will be making it’s first visit of the season to the speedway. The K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds are celebrating their 10th anniversary season.

The USCS presented by K&N Filters sprint cars typically reach speeds over one hundred miles per hour at Greenville Speedway.  Winged sprint cars are pound for pound the fastest and most powerful short oval track vehicles in the World and the USCS sprint cars always put on a display an awesome show of speed and power at the track

The event awards United Sprint Car Series (USCS) National and Mid South regional series Championship points and is expected to bring a field of top winged sprint car drivers from at least five states to the challenging 1/4 mile high-banked oval seeking a stop in the www.RockAuto.com USCS victory lane.

An action filled racing program awaits fans when things get kicked off on Friday night. The USCS presented by K&N Filters sprint car racing format will include test and tune hot laps followed by the evening's first sprint car race, the Hoosier Tire Speed Dash that showcases the top six cars from the previous USCS main event in an edge-of-your-seat six-car shootout.  Next up will be qualifying heat races followed by Last Chance/B-Main race(s) and the night’s Ellis Palasini Black Widow Classic Championship main event.

In addition to the USCS presented by K&N sprint cars and K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds on the night’s racing card will be four of the track’s weekly racing divisions.  Those other classes include the Super Late Model, Nesmith Dirt Late Model, Street Stocks and Pure Stock divisions.

Five previous winners of USCS winged sprint car events at Greenville Speedway are expected to enter plus a host of other talented drivers. Those past winners include past USCS Champion, Marshall Skinner from Marion, Arkansas who won on the series first visit to the track in July of 2007. Eleven-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who won on the series second visit in September of 2007 is also entered.

Also expected is three-time Gumbo Nationals Sprint Car Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas. Additionally another past Gumbo Nationals USCS sprint car winner and past series Champion Eddie Gallagher from Olive Branch, Mississippi is entered as well.

Another expected entry is the 2013 USCS National Champion and two-time USCS winner at the speedway. All five of these drivers plus many more top drivers from at least five states as far away as Texas and North Carolina are expected for this special sprint car event.
