RESCHEDULED: USCS Outlaw Sprints headline 4th Annual USCS “Rumble at the Ridge” Classic at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway On Thursday, July 9th

Atlanta, GA – July 6, 2015 - The United Sprint Car Series (USCS) presented by K&N Filters Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars are reset to invade the ¼ mile racing surface at historic Crowley’s Ridge Raceway on Thursday, July 9th at 7:30 pm as headliners of the 4th annual USCS “Rumble at the Ridge”. The special mid week event that has become an instant classic over the last three years was rained out last Thursday evening (7/2)  at 6:00 pm when the week’s heavy downpours kicked in,but has been rescheduled for this Thursday night.

The USCS winged sprint car race is expected to bring top winged outlaw style sprint car drivers from at least five states to the ¼ mile clay oval track located between Paragould and Jonesboro, Arkansas on Highway 351. The USCS winged sprint cars reach speeds of over 100 miles per hour around the track that fans and competitors alike affectionately refer to as just, “The Ridge”

An action packed USCS presented by K&N Filters sprint car racing program on Thursday night will include test and tune hot laps followed by the evening's first sprint car race, the Hoosier Tire USCS Speed Dash that showcases the top six cars from the previous USCS main event in an edge-of-your-seat six-car shootout.  The dash will be followed by a series of qualifying heat races and a Last Chance/B-Main race(s). The evening’s grand finale will be the 30-lap USCS sprint car A-main event.

The event, for the sprint car drivers, will award USCS National Championship points as well as USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour regional series Championship points. The USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series primarily consists of races in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and West Tennessee

Also featured on the special mid-week Thursday night racing program are the mighty open wheel modifieds of the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series presented by Gamble’s Home Furnishings.  The USCS Outlaw Modified Series will have some of the Mid South’s top drivers competing for a $1100 top prize snd championship points as well.

The busy racing card also includes the speedway’s Late Model division racing for an expanded purse to add some door-to-door and fender rubbing racing action to the event.  All in all after the preliminary qualifying races in each division, there are 75+ laps of Championship main events in 3 of the area’s most popular racing divisions to enjoy.
