USCS Outlaw Sprints headline 4th Annual USCS “Rumble at the Ridge” at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway o n Thursday, July 2nd

Atlanta, GA – June 28, 2015 - The United Sprint Car Series (USCS) presented by K&N Filters Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars invade Crowley’s Ridge Raceway on Thursday night July 2nd at 7:30 pm as headliners of the 4th annual USCS “Rumble at the Ridge”. The event serves as round three of a five race sprint car USCS Super Dirt Week scheduled over the 2015 Independence Day holiday week. 

The holiday week special event is expected to bring top winged outlaw style sprint car drivers from at least five states to the ¼ mile clay oval track located between Paragould and Jonesboro, Arkansas on Highway 351. The USCS winged sprint car race will award USCS National Championship points as well as USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour regional series Championship points. The USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series primarily consists of races in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and West Tennessee

An action packed USCS presented by K&N Filters sprint car racing program will include test and tune hot laps followed by the evening's first sprint car race, the Hoosier Tire USCS Speed Dash that showcases the top six cars from the previous USCS main event in an edge-of-your-seat six-car shootout.  The dash will be followed by a series of qualifying heat races and a Last Chance/B-Main race(s). The evening’s grand finale will be the 30-lap USCS sprint car A-main event.

Also featured on the special mid-week Thursday night holiday week racing program are the mighty open wheel modifieds of the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series presented by Gamble’s Furmiture racing for a $1100 top prize. NASCAR veteran and dirt track legend, Ken Schrader will compete in the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series division. Schrader who has visited the www.eockauto.com USCS Victory Lane three times previously will be one of the favorites on Thursday night.

The racing card also includes the speedway’s Late Model division racing for an expanded purse that will add some door-to-door and fender rubbing racing action to the event.  All in all after the preliminary qualifying races in each division, there are 75+ laps of Championship main events plus a holiday fireworks.
