Tim  Crawley blasts to 2nd USCS Sprint Speedweek 2015 win at Greenville Speedway

Greenville, MS – June 20, 2015 – United Sprint Car Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters 2012 National champion Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas, charged from his third place starting position after a first lap re-start into the lead, then into the www.rockauto USCS Victory Lane 30 laps later at Greenville Speedway on Saturday night. Crawley’s second USCS win of the season came in the USCS Sprint Speedweek Round #2 make-up race that was originally scheduled on May 24th but rained out. It was Crawley’s second Speedweek 2015 win as well.

A first lap tangle that occurred when K&N Filters Pole Position starter Buster Dickerson from Caledonia, Mississippi looped his #86 exiting turn two and left 11 time USCS National sprint Car Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee, who started in third place, no place to go. The incident left Dickerson and Gray on the sidelines and re-aligned the front six cars for the re-start. Marshall Skinner who originally was to start fourth, also needed repairs and re-started at the rear of the field.

The new line-up placed 1998 USCS Champion, Eddie Gallagher from Olive Branch, Mississippi who won the Engler Machine and Tools First Heat on the pole and Tim Crawley outside the front with Jordon Mallett from Greenbrier, Arkansas and Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee in the second row.

Crawley drag raced Gallagher to the first turn and won that contest. After that, it was a battle for the runner-up spot as Crawley led all 30 laps. Gallagher, who proved he is back in top racing forrm after several strong runs with the series,  held off first a hard-charging Jordon Mallett and then Marshall Skinner who raced back from the rear off the field to finish in the third spot.  Behind Sinner was Jordon Mallet , who was the series 2011 Rookie of the Year, in fourth place at the stripe. Morgan Turrpen completed her night in fifth place.

The race saw several more caution periods and a red flag on lap twenty-five for Marshall Yelverton’s slow rollover.

Tim Sites from Memphis, Tennessee avoided any of those incidents and ended his night in sixth place. He was followed by the evening’s Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger, Klint Angelette from Thibodeaux, Louisiana in seventh place. Angelette started seventeenth. Donny Howard from from Hernando, Mississippi finished eighth  Marshall Yelyerton from Florence, Mississippi rallied to finish in ninth place and 2013 USCS Rookie of the Year driver Curt Terrell from Bartlett, Tennessee rounded

The United Sprint Car Series returns to action on Friday,  June 26th at Diamond Park Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas The series then completes a weekend double at I-30 Speedway in Benton, Arkansas on Saturday, June 27th.
