USCS Outlaw sprint cars, Mississippi State Series Super Late Models and K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds headline the “Sunday Speed Spectacular” at Greenville Speedway on Sunday (May 24th)

Greenville, MS – May 15, 2015 – Race fans get a holiday weekend double shot of speed when the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars are joined on an action-packed racing card by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series Super Late Models as co-headliners of the “Sunday Speed Spectacular” at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi on Sunday night May 24th . The event is Round #2 of the 10th annual USCS Sprint Car Speedweek presented by Hoosier Race Tires.

The event is expected to bring top winged sprint car drivers from at least six states to the challenging 1/4 mile high-banked black gumbo oval seeking a stop in the www.RockAuto.com USCS Victory Lane. This will be race number seven of the 2015 season for the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour. The event awards both USCS National and Mid South regional series championship points.

An action filled racing program awaits fans when things get kicked off on Sunday night. The power packed USCS sprint car racing format will include test and tune hot laps followed by the evening's first sprint car race, the Hoosier Tire Speed Dash that showcases the top six cars from the previous USCS main event in an edge-of-your-seat six-car , six-lap shootout. Next up will be qualifying heat races followed by Last Chance/B-Main race(s). The evening’s grand finale for the sprint cars will be the 30-lap USCS winged sprint car A-main event for the cars expected to reach speeds over 100 miles per hour at Greenville Speedway.

Five previous winners of USCS winged sprint car main events at Greenville Speedway are entered. Those include past USCS Champion, Marshall Skinner from Marion, Arkansas who won on the series first visit to the track in July of 2007.  Eleven-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who won on the series second visit in September of 2007 is also entered as are three-time Gumbo Nationals Sprint Car Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas and 2013 and 2014 Greenville Speedway USCS Speedweeks feature winner and 2013 USCS National Sprint Car Champion Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas. Additionally another USCS past Champion and Gumbo Nationals sprint car Champion, Eddie Gallagher from Olive Branch, Mississippi is entered as well. All five of these drivers plus many more top drivers from at least six states as far away as Texas and North Carolina are entered for this special sprint car event.

The popular Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series Super Late Models co-headlines the horsepower loaded program with a complete racing program of their own on Sunday night that includes Time Trial qualifying, Last Chance races and a 40-lap main event. May 8th Greenville Speedway MSCCS winner and current point’s leader, Bub McCool from Vicksburg, Mississippi, Chad Thrash from Meridian and Brian and Rick Rickman from Columbus, Mississippi are four expected drivers who lead a strong contingent of drivers anticipated to entered the series fifth race of the season.

The K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series also boosts the power packed racing card with a strong field of drivers from at least five states expected to compete for the $1000 up for grabs to the first driver to reach the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane in that division’s main event. The event will be race number four of their 2015 tour.

The busy racing program also includes the Nesmith Dirt Late Model Series weekly racing stars and the Greenville Speedway Street Stock division as well ompeting for cash and glory on the night before the Memorial Day holiday.
