Tennessee National Raceway’s “Tennessee 200” racing action on Friday and Saturday March 20th and 21st kicks off 2015 Middle Tennessee racing season with 200 laps of main events.

March 14, 2015 - Get ready Middle Tennessee! The 2015 racing season kicks off early, fast and exciting this year. Headline divisions include wo of three United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) racing divisions and five of the Tennessee National Raceway regular weekly racing divisions break out the speed and excitement of a brand new racing year with the 3rd annual Tennessee 200 Weekend of Speed on Friday and Saturday, March 20th  and 21st  at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN
The event will be the first USCS contest of the 2015 season at the 1/3 mile red clay oval located just off US Highway 412 and three miles west of Hohenwald, Tennessee with two of its’ divisions in action both nights headlining the event.

Over $20,000 is posted in guaranteed prize money for seven of the Mid South’s most popular racing divisions during the 3rd annual two-day event. The action-packed racing card includes drivers contesting over 300 laps of racing action with 200 laps of main event finals scheduled during the Tennessee 200 Weekend of Speed.

The mighty open wheel modifieds of the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified  Series and the 100 mile per hour www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprints headline the USCS portion of  Friday’s event. Both USCS series will contest a complete racing program including  test and tune hot laps and qualifying races plus main events on Friday. The main events will go the distance of twenty-five laps in each division. 

They are joined on the busy racing card by the Tennessee National Raceway Late Models, E-Mod and Mini Stock divisions on Friday’s racing card. The Late Model division, which will include cars from a wide range of rules including area Limited Late Models, 2-Barrel Late Models and GM Performance crate engine type cars, will time trial and contest qualifying heats as well on Friday night to set the top positions for Friday night’s main event final. On Saturday night the Limited Late Model division will again contest a complete racing program including their 30-lap final.

The Tennessee National Raceway Modified Street and Mini Stock divisions will contest qualifying races and main events as well on Friday night. On Saturday night all five of these divisions that raced on Friday will contest another complete racing format in each with Championship main events Additionally the Modfied Street/Street Stock and Dwarf Car divisions join the racing card for a complete racing program of their own as well.
