NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader to race at Tennessee National Raceway during 2nd Annual Tennessee 200 on Friday and Saturday, March 14th and 15th

Atlanta, GA - 3/05/14 - NASCAR veteran driver, frequent TV motorsports commentator and legendary dirt track racer, Ken Schrader will travel from his racing shop in Concord, North Caolina to compete in the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified portion of the 2nd annual Tennessee 200 at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tennessee on Friday, March 14th and Saturday March 15th. Schrader won the Open Wheel Modified feature race in only his only other appearance at TN National Raceway in 2010. He also won last week’s K&N Filters USCS Modified Series portion of the USCS Frostbuster 250 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi as he did in 2012.

Schrader will wheel his potent Federated Auto Parts sponsored #9 open wheel modified racer on both nights against some of the best racers in the Mid South all of whom are trying to be first to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane in the second and third races of the season. Schrader has 970 starts in NASCAR’s top three divisions including 763 Sprint Cup and formerly Winston Cup division semi-retired from the Sprint Cup Series at the end of 2013, but will race selected ARCA events and concentrate on his dirt track racing. This will be only the second visit to Tennessee National Raceway for Schrader. Additionally on the racing card on Friday night at 7:30pm are the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprints, Limited Late Models, Modified Street and E-MOD divisions. On Saturday night at 6:00pm the 100+ mile per hour 700 horsepower USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars turn the tempo up by joining the divisions that raced on Friday plus the Mini Stocks race as well for an action-packed racing card.
