Historic World of Outlaws and USAC National Sprint Cars Doubleheader Weekend
Highlights 2015 Eldora Calendar
ROSSBURG, OHIO (Nov 6, 2014) – Over its first 61 seasons, tradition and innovation have played a huge role in Eldora Speedway’s growth. Tradition will be again be served in 2015 through the return of Eldora’s signature major events, while the innovative twist includes another first in the industry.
Over the weekend of Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, Eldora will pull together the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series and the United States Auto Club (USAC) National Sprint Cars in a complete doubleheader both nights. Each group sets the nation’s standard for their brand of Sprint Car racing and each have a storied history – not only at Eldora – but throughout the country, yet, never before have they been featured together on the same card, the same night.
And, in keeping with Eldora’s tradition of offering the best drivers in the world at the most affordable price, tickets for the historic event will be just $25 for general admission seating.
As released earlier, Eldora’s respected major event schedule includes the 21st annual $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend by Ferris Mowers (Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 4-5-6), the 32nd annual Kings Royal weekend (Friday and Saturday, July 17 & 18), the 3rd annual 1-800 Car Cash Mud Summer Classic featuring the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (Wednesday, July 22) and the 45th annual World 100 weekend (Thursday-Friday-Saturday, September 10-11-12).
Joining that menu of rich-in-history events and the historic WoO/USAC doubleheader will be Eldora’s established slate of diversity through a lineup that includes a vast variety of nationally-recognized sanctioning bodies in a multitude of racing divisions and other fan favorites that will total 28 nights of activity in 2015 beginning with a Test and Tune session on Saturday afternoon, April 11.
In addition to the May 8 & 9 blockbuster and the Kings Royal weekend, the WoO Sprints will be on hand Friday, September 25 to kick off the long-established Four Crown Nationals, which concludes the following night with the USAC National Midget Tour, Sprint Cars and Silver Crown championships.
The DIRTcar brand will be represented at the richest Late Model races in the world, the Dirt Late Model Dream and the World 100 plus multiple Sunoco American Late Model Series events of which the Johnny Appleseed Classic (Sunday, May 24), the 8th annual Baltes Classic (Sunday, September 6) and DIRTcar Fall Nationals (Saturday, October 3) included.
The UNOH All Star Sprints will make their annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek appearance on Saturday, June 20 and conclude the 2015 season on Saturday, October 10 at the UNOH Sprintacular. The wild tripleheader will again feature the National Racing Alliance (NRA) Sprint Invaders and Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS). The DIRTcar Modifieds and popular Eldora Stock Cars will round out many of the 2015 events.
The ticket and campsite renewal process for the 2015 Dirt Late Model Dream, Kings Royal, Mud Summer Classic and World 100 will continue through Sunday, November 16 at midnight. Add and Exchange Days, exclusive to patrons who renewed their tickets or campsites for 2015, are November 19-20-21. The public sale date for the Major Event Weekends is Saturday, December 6 at 10 a.m.
Tickets and camping for the balance of Eldora’s 2015 season will go on sale on Monday, February 9.
