Upton Motorsports Releases New Website; Announces 2013 Plans

Mercer, Tennessee (12/26/12) – Upton Motorsports, who fields Super Late Model entries for Ashley Newman and Kyle Beard, is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia Team and has launched a brand new website at www.UptonMotorsports.com .

Upton Motorsports is based in Mercer, Tennessee and is owned by Greg and Angie Upton along with their daughter, Shelby. The team has been involved in racing since 2007 and currently fields Super Late Model entries for Ashley Newman from Ripley, Tennessee and Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas. Ashley pilots the #73 Upton Motorsports/Greg's Sawmill/45 Race Shop/Bob Pierce Super Late Model, and Kyle drives the #86 Upton Motorsports/Greg's Sawmill/Gary Beard Trucking/Bob Pierce Super Late Model. Both drivers enjoyed a successful 2012 campaign and are eagerly preparing for the 2013 season.

Upton Motorsports recently announced that Ashley Newman will be making the full-time move to the Super Late Model division as a teammate to Kyle Beard. Both drivers will compete on the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model tour in 2013, where Newman will also contend for Rookie of the Year honors. When not competing in the tour events both drivers will take part in various special events in the Super Late Model ranks, and Ashley will also compete in select Crate Late Model events.

Kyle will likely open his 2013 campaign with the annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on January 5th-6th before heading to the Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona), which will see a total of six events contested over the January 12th-20th calendar dates. Newman's first event is unknown.
