For Immediate Release Rodney Sanders Tops Talented Tucson Field for $3,000 Victory Happy, Texas (01/15/15) – Rodney Sanders scored an impressive triumph in his young Dirt Late Model career on Wednesday night by outrunning a talented field of competitors in his Swan Energy #20 Wichita Tank/Black Diamond by Club 29/Clements Racing Engine entry to score the $3,000 triumph in the third round of the 9th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). The $3,000-to-win program drew a field of forty-six entries to the 3/8 mile oval. With passing points determining heat race transfers, Rodney mounted an impressive charge from sixth to second in his heat to lock into the fifth starting position for the 30 lap finale. At the drop of the green, Sanders rocketed from his fifth starting spot to second place in just three laps and began to stalk race leader, Don Shaw. Rodney made his move just before the halfway mark, taking control on lap fourteen and immediately opening up a healthy advantage on his nearest competitor. Fourth starting, Darrell Lanigan made a charge in the closing laps but his momentum was erased when he slid high in turn four with five laps remaining. From there, Sanders went on to take the checkered flag ahead of Lanigan by just over one second, earning his second career Super Late Model victory. Jason Papich finished third, while Don Shaw and Tony Toste completed the remainder of the top five. “I knew we had a good car from the drop of the green flag, and I just wanted to bide my time,” said Sanders. “Once we got to the lead I saw the #5 on the scoreboard, and I know Lanigan was coming so I dropped the hammer. This is a huge win for our team!” Complete results from the event are available at www.RaceUSARaceway.com . Earlier in the week Sanders competed in two additional Super Late Model events in the miniseries. He came away with a fifth place finish in the opener on Saturday before seeing radiator issues end his outing on Sunday. He also entered a single Modified event on Sunday and jumped to the lead before fuel pressure issues sidelined him. Action resumes in the 9th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout on Friday and Saturday, January 16th-17th with a pair of $3,000-to-win, Super Late Model events before concluding with a $10,000-to-win finale on Sunday evening. Rodney will also likely enter his Modified in at least one of the accompanying programs. For Immediate Release Jason Krohn Gets Redeeming Win in Wild West Shootout Slayton, Minnesota (01/15/15) – After seeing a mechanical failures end chances of victory in both of the first two rounds of the 9th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, Jason Krohn gained sweet redemption on Wednesday night with a dominant win in the third round behind the wheel of his Krohn Farms #7k MB Customs Modified. “We were so disappointed after the mechanical issues that knocked us out of Sunday’s race, but tonight definitely makes up for it,” Krohn said with a smile in victory lane. “This victory goes out to my family back home as well as some great friends, who are under the weather right now.” Round #3 of the miniseries at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) drew a field of twenty-seven competitors to the 3/8 mile oval. Much like the first two rounds of the week-long miniseries, Krohn started his night out on a strong note. He mounted a convincing charge from eighth to a runner-up finish in heat race action, earning him the sixth starting spot for the feature. When the race went green, Krohn quickly moved into the top five and used the high side to keep up his momentum, snaring the lead from Joey Moriarty on lap seven. Krohn opened a comfortable margin over the rest of the field and went virtually unchallenged en route to a dominating victory. Ryan Gustin, Grant Junghans, Dave Mass and Alex Stanford rounded out the top five finishers. Complete results can be found at www.RaceUSARaceway.com . FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Scott Groves Racing Announces More Exciting 2015 Season Details Canton, Georgia (01/15/15) – Scott Groves Racing has several exciting announcements for the upcoming 2015 racing season. Scott Groves, team manager and driver of the Friends of the Dream #311 Warrior, is very excited about the new direction the team is taking. "It has always been my dream and my vision to utilize the race team to help others. With this new partnership we can now offer our marketing partners more than just sponsoring a race team. Our marketing partners can now be a part of something really special and help deserving children at the same time! It's truly a "win/win situation" for everyone involved, especially the children!" Also of note, the newly formed team is proud to announce the addition of several new team partners for 2015 starting with Georgia Boot. Based in Nelsonville, Ohio, and most famously known for their support of the Clint Bowyer Racing team (and driver Steve Francis), Georgia Boot has joined the Friends of the Dream racing team in support of their charitable vision. Groves says that the partnership just made sense. "I worked closely with Georgia Boot Brand Manager, Seann Anderson to put something together that made sense. Obviously Georgia Boot's main focus is with the Clint Bowyer Racing team, but the opportunity to support the FOTD foundation's charitable goals was something they wanted to be a part of and we are very thankful for their support!" stated Groves. Groves also noted that having a well-known national company associated with the team also lends credibility to what they are trying to accomplish. Two additional new product partners joining the Friends of the Dream racing team are Schaeffer's Oil by Heather Newsome and All Out Performance and Racing. Groves says that product sponsors are the life blood of any team. "Having Schaeffer's Oil and All Out Performance join the team are crucial! Any team that wants to race as much as we do absolutely has to have key alliances with product sponsors. We are so grateful for the support that Schaffer's and All Out Performance is providing to our team!" For more information, or to support the Friends of the Dream charitable vision, please go to www.ScottGrovesRacing.com. The FOTD racing team would like to thank all of their marketing partners for 2015 including Zen Windows, Tricon Tool Inc., Georgia Boot, Schaeffer's Oil by Heather Newsome, Base Racing Fuel, Shorty's Shock Service, Team18X.com, All Out Performance and Racing, Capitol Machine, Modern Images, MSR Mafia Media Services and Groves Excavating.
