ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series Releases 2015 Schedule - Posts Over $500,000 in Purses

Elm City, North Carolina (November 15, 2014) – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will enter its 5th year of action with its most ambitious schedule to date. The series released the tentative 2015 schedule to its member-drivers today at a luncheon near County Line Raceway prior to releasing it to the public this afternoon. “We are so excited about 2015. I am very pleased to have our schedule put together and out so drivers and fans can begin working on their own schedules. We realize that with a release this early that we may need to move something around here or there. But it puts us well ahead of the pack as we move forward working on sponsorship. Our goal was to be able to hand out a schedule at our season finale and we are proud to be able to have met that goal. We want to thank all of our promoters for understanding the importance of getting the dates scheduled and making sure we had their dates done. It is a big relief for me personally to have this done. It is the earliest I have ever been done with a schedule.” Commented ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.

In addition to the largest number of events and the single highest one-day purse in its history, the Series boasts a record total purse posting for 2015 of over $500,000. The schedule is bolstered by the addition of the $20,000 to win King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway on April 11th along with a return to Ponderosa Speedway on August 21st for the now $15,000 to win John Bradshaw Memorial. Two other $10,000 purse events, the USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway on May 16th and the 7th Annual Race for the Kids at County Line Raceway on October 23 & 24, return to the schedule again. The schedule also sees the series visit 2 new facilities; Travelers Rest Speedway in South Carolina and Cochran Motor Speedway in Georgia. Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia; 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee and Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia return to the schedule after short absences.

The schedule is also anchored by ULTIMATE Series stalwarts Smoky Mountain Speedway, Lavonia Speedway, Dublin Motor Speedway, North Georgia Speedway, Modoc Raceway, 311 Speedway and Wythe Raceway. The series is set to open its 2015 campaign with a double header weekend at North Georgia Speedway on Saturday, March 7th and Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia Georgia on Sunday, March 8th with a pair of $4000 to win / 40 lap events. “I am very pleased with this schedule. We have some great tracks on board with the ULTIMATE Supers. The ULTIMATE Series has really emerged as the premier tour in the southeast. Our promoters, racers and sponsors are happy and that in turn makes us all happy.” added ULTIMATE Series Founder Stan Lester.
