ULTIMATE Series Amends Tire Rule at Specific Events

Carnesville, Georgia (March 25, 2015) - Officials with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series announced today a minor change in the series' tire rule. The Series will still only allow 3 base compounds for each event however the allowable compounds will vary at a few of the tracks on the schedule. "We wanted to create a tire rule that was easy and that maybe would save the racers some money on tires. And we still intend for that to be the case. However after talking with several drivers and both tire manufacturers we felt that a few of the tracks would require the a softer compound in the interest of safety and quality racing. It is not much of a change but we believe it is a very important one." said ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series Director Kelley Carlton.

For the events at Screven Motor Speedway and Modoc Raceway the series will allow Hoosier 1300, 1350 or 1600 along with American Racer 44, 48 or 56 compounds. They will also still have an option for ANY 70 on the Right Rear.

For all other events the tire rule will remain Hoosier 1350, 1450 or 1600 along with American Racer 48, 53 or 56 with the same Right Rear option.
