ULTIMATE Supers Add Crossville Event and Make Schedule Adjustments

Carnesville, Georgia (February 2, 2016) – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series has added a $4000 to win / 40 lap event at the 1/3rd mile oval located at the Cumberland Plateau. The event will fill the Friday night between the recently added Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee and a Saturday event at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. “This is a perfect fit for the Friday night. Crossville is basically located halfway between Bulls Gap and Wheel. Also with the Crossville event being one of our events that is co-sanctioned with our Battle of the Bluegrass Series it provides the guys from that region a racing stop along the way down.” said ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.

Crossville Raceway, which is located at 5474 Highway 70 North in Crosville, was recently purchased by longtime Tennessee racers Lewis Jackson and Perry Delaney. The pair plan to revitalize the historic facility and return to Friday night racing with the help of fellow Tennessee racers Michael Luna and Scott Shelton. A new website for the facility is currently in the works as well as a full schedule.

Along with the addition the Series also announced some adjustments to their released working schedule. The Buck Simmons Memorial event originally scheduled for September 4th at Toccoa Raceway has been moved to June 11th and the Lavonia Speedway event which was slated for August 26th will be moved to August 5th. And finally the August 6th date at Travelers Rest Speedway has been moved to August 27th. “We hate to make many changes to our schedule after getting it out but with the release of other schedules and some varying circumstances we needed to make some adjustments for the best interests of our promoters and racers. There may be a couple more changes or additions coming soon but we wanted to get this information out to teams and fans that are already making plans.” Carlton added.

The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will also be announcing new and returning sponsors over the next several days leading up to the season opener at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on March 5th.
