Adjustment to Race Schedule at Thunderbird Speedway!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – March 27, 2013 - Due to Mother Nature being uncooperative during the month of March and the rescheduling of some big special events in the area, Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma has adjusted the first couple of month of their 2013 race schedule, effective immediately.

There will be no racing this Easter holiday weekend and the first open practice session atop the famed fairgrounds half mile oval will take place on Thursday night, April 4th. Many of the top modified drivers in the country are expected to get some laps in as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) will make their inaugural appearance at the speedway on Friday night, April 5th. The tracks weekly divisions of northern/southern modifeds, 360 modifieds, street stocks and pure stocks will also be competing.
The winged warriors of the Tulsa based Oil Capital Racing Series (OCRS) sprint car division will be joined by the rescheduled makeup date of the Micro Sprint Spring Nationals on Friday night, April 12th.
Weekly point racing featuring the modified, sport mod, 360 mod, late model, street stocks and pure stocks will take to the track on April 19th with the night coming to a climax with a $1000 to win enduro.

The month of April will come to a conclusion with a huge late model event as the Lucas Oil MLRA and MARS DIRTcar will join forces for the 2nd annual “Charlie Fulton Memorial” on April 26th.

Whether you are a sprint car, modified or late model fan, the month of April at Thunderbird Speedway will have it for you featuring four of the top sanctioning bodies in the Midwest.
