Tazewell Speedway announces 2013 schedule

Tazewell, Tennessee – Tazewell Speedway has announced the full 2013 schedule. The 1/3-mile, high-banked track has one of the most diverse schedules in the history of the speedway.

The 2013 season gets under way on March 23 with the Cabin Fever 35, a $2,000 to win race for the limited late models. Rain date for the race is March 30.

The Southern All-Stars will return to Tazewell Speedway on April 6 for the Charles Trammell Memorial race. The end of April wraps up with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by Rusty Wallace Cadillac-GMC-Kai for a $10,000 to win program.

On Friday, May 31, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series visits Tazewell Speedway. The event, which is sponsored by Toyota of Knoxville, is one of the longest running races on the LOLMDS tour.

The Southern All-Stars return for a second visit in 2013 on Wednesday, July 3. July is capped off with the finale of Ray Cook’s Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals. In addition to the $5,300 to win race, the champion of the 10-race series will be crowned at Tazewell Speedway.

A new series will visit on Tazewell Speedway on August 10. The Chevrolet Performance Late Model Series comes to Tazewell for a $3,000 to win event. The NeSmith Chevrolet Touring Divisions will make its first Tazewell Speedway appearance on Friday, August 23.

The Labor Day weekend tradition of the Buddy Rogers Memorial 44 takes place on Sunday, September 1. This year’s running is sponsored by the Southern All-Stars.

The 3rd annual Fall Brawl takes place on Saturday, October 5. The Tazewell Late Models and the Modified Streets will each be competing in a $2,000 to win race. The season finale is on October 19.

Tazewell Speedway’s exciting weekly racing action fills in the rest of the schedule with plenty of special events for the other classes and events for the kids throughout the season.
