Jeff Taylor Kicks Off 2008 Season at West Plains this Weekend!

(CAVE CITY, ARKANSAS)  Jeff Taylor, who is in the process of putting together several new Larry Shaw by Taylor modifieds, will take a little time off from the shop to kick off his 2008 racing season this weekend!  Jeff will invade the venerable West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri this weekend for the 9th Annual ‘Justin Stanfill Memorial.’  A trio of events are planned, weather permitting, at the red-clay Missouri oval from Thursday-Saturday, March 13-15.

The three-day Open Wheel Modified extravaganza will pay $1,000 to win, $2,000 to win, and $3,000 to win respectively.  In addition to those winning purses, an extra $1,000 bonus is up for grabs for the driver that accumulates the highest point total for the weekend.  You can learn more about the 9th Annual ‘Justin Stanfill Memorial’ online at www.westplains-speedway.com!

“We have been thrashing here at the shop all winter long, so it will be nice to finally do a little racing this weekend,” quoted Taylor tonight via telephone.  “I may drive Wade Moyer’s (no relation) #14m car once or twice during the weekend at West Plains, in addition to my own #5 car.  We will be doing a lot of R&D work on the cars, as I want to try out some ideas before incorporating the changes on our new style cars later in the year.  Hopefully, Mother Nature will cooperate and we can get all three races in the books this weekend!”
