Jeff Taylor Visits Victory Lane in North Dakota

Cave City, Arkansas (06/19/14) – The last minute decision to pilot a friend’s Open Wheel Modified on Sunday night at Dacotah Speedway turned into Jeff Taylor’s fourth win of the 2014 season.

Jeff Taylor piloted the #99T Shawn Strand owned Open Wheel Modified to his fourth win of the season in four starts on Sunday evening with a triumph at Dacotah Speedway (Mandan, North Dakota). Thirty-one competitors registered for battle, and after charging from eighth to win his heat race, Jeff earned the twelfth starting spot for the main event. In the feature he quickly worked his way to the front of the pack before going on to claim the dominating win over Shawn Strand, Brian Swenson, Aaron Turnbull, and Marlyn Seidler.

“It was kind of unexpected to drive Shawn’s car on Sunday night at Dacotah, but it definitely worked out,” laughed Taylor. “We haven’t had a chance to race much this year, but when we have we’ve been real strong.”

While Taylor won’t race anywhere this weekend, he will begin his trek early next week to 141 Speedway (Francis Creek, Wisconsin) to compete in the 6th Annual IMCA Clash at the Creek. The $10,000-to-win event gets underway with a practice session on Tuesday with preliminary action on Wednesday, and the finale on Thursday.
