Mike Marlar Trumps Field in Spring Nationals Series Race at Dixie Speedway

WOODSTOCK, Ga. - May 28, 2016 - Mike Marlar finally reached victory lane at Dixie Speedway.

After several visits to major touring events in years past and not a win, the Winfield, Tenn. driver was finally able to get the job done and go to the winner's circle at the historic facility located in Woodstock, Ga. Marlar's third Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series by Schaeffer's Oil victory of the season brings him to the top of the all-time winners list with five victories in four seasons that the tour has hosted events.

Marlar led the entire distance of 40 laps for the $4,000 payday while driving the Delk Equipment Sales and RS Trading Company-sponsored Cornett Racing Engines-powered Capital Race Car.

Two caution flags slowed the main event. The first caution would wave on the first lap as Jason Croft and Jake Knowles spun in turn two. On lap-15, Luther Jenkins slowed in turn two bringing out the final yellow flag.

The Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series will finish up the 2016 points campaign on Sunday Night at Rome (Ga.) Speedway with a 50-lap $6,000-to-win show.
