Southern Oklahoma Speedway Kicks Off 2013 Season Saturday Night!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – March 11, 2013 - A full day of racing activities will take place in preparation for Saturday night’s 2013 racing season opener for Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma complete with a free car show open to the public, followed by dirt track racing at its finest atop the big three-eighths mile oval.

The car show will take place at Mountain View Mall in Ardmore by Staples and Burger King from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM and all the public is invited to get a glimpse of what they will see out at the dirt track later that evening.

After the car show drivers will load up their haulers and head to Southern Oklahoma Speedway where pit and grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM with races slated for a 7:30 PM start time.

It looks to be a huge year for track owner/promoters John and Nicky Webb as over 100 cars in five divisions have registered their number for the 2013 race season, including many drivers from the North Texas and southern Oklahoma area.

Each Saturday night’s weekly racing action will consist of USRA sanctioned modifeds, limited modifieds, limited late model, stock car and hobby stocks.    

Pit passes for ages six and up are $25 with kids five and under admitted free into the pit area. On the grandstand side, general admission prices are $12 for adults; Senior Citizens and kids ages 6-12 years of age $8; and kids five and under admitted free.

Once again Webb and his crew have put money back into the facility with new and enlarged restrooms being the most notable on the grandstand side.

With over 100 cars registered as well as special events dotting the 2013 race schedule for all types of dirt track race fans, the season looks to be one of the best yet for the 2013 race season.

Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located off of 1-35 to exit 29, then east on Hwy 70 approximately one mile to Hwy 77 and then south approximately two miles.
