Smoky Mountain Speedway releases 2015 schedule

Maryville, Tennessee – Smoky Mountain Speedway has released its 2015 schedule. The 4/10-mile track in Maryville, TN has put together a diverse schedule for the upcoming season.

The season gets under way on March 12-14 with an open practice and a pair of Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals races. The open practice and pit party takes place on Thursday, March 12. Racing kicks off Friday, March 13 with a $5,000 to win super late model race followed by a $10,000 to win race on Saturday, March 14.

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series makes the first of two visits on Saturday, March 28 for a $5,000 to win race. The series returns on Friday, July 10 for a second $5,000 to win event.

Friday, April 10 marks the first of three races in the Mountain All-Stars series. The April 10 date will showcase the limited late models in a 100-lap, $4,000 to win race. The crate late models will have their turn on Saturday, May 30 for a 100-lap, $3,000 to win race. The street stocks will wrap up the series on Saturday, August 29 with a $2,000 to win race. A number of bonuses will be in place for all three Mountain All-Stars races that could potentially raise the race winnings much higher.

The Southern All-Stars returns on Saturday, April 25 for the Rockin’ with the Stars race that pays $5,000 to win.

May and June will see two huge events. First, the World of Outlaws Late Model Dirt Series visits on Saturday, May 9 for a $10,000 to win race. Then on Saturday, June 20, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returns for the Ole Smoky Moonshine 50.

Thursday, July 16 is the return date for the USCS sprint cars. July finishes up with the Ray Cook-promoted Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals on Friday, July 31 for a $5,300 to win race.

The Carolina Clash series will make its first ever appearance to Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday, August 15 for a $5,000 to win event.

The season will wrap up on Saturday, September 19 with the second visit of the season of the Southern All-Stars for the King of the Mountain Fall Classic paying $5,000 to win. That is also the date for the induction ceremony for the 2015 Smoky Mountain Speedway Hall of Fame.
