Austin Hubbard Wins Wild One at Delaware International

Seaford, Delaware (04/18/16) - Austin Hubbard only led one lap on Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway, but it was the most important one in his Trinity Logistics #11 Mastersbilt by Huey/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“That was a lot of fun tonight,” said Hubbard in victory lane. “Kerry (King) drove a great race, and he really made me work hard for it. It’s always great to race here at home, and I want to thank all of my fans and sponsors for their great support.”

Staying close to home, Austin Hubbard traveled to Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware) on Saturday night, powering the AMH Enterprises #11 Super Late Model. He started the night by winning his heat race to earn a front-row-starting spot alongside, Kerry King for the 20-lap finale. Hubbard ran 2nd for much of the event as he pressured King relentlessly for the lead. Austin would make a final-lap charge in turns 3 and 4, and would edge ahead of King to take the win. The victory was his first of the season. King, Ricky Elliott, Nick Davis, and Joe Warren completed the top five finishers.

Rilat Defending Home Turf This Weekend during Texas Outlaw Nationals

Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (April 18, 2016) - Travis Rilat will head to his home track this weekend for the Texas Outlaw Nationals.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, which is a short drive from Rilat's shop, kicks off Friday before Saturday's $20,000-to-win finale.

"It's always good to race close to home and we have a lot of laps at Devil's Bowl so that's a plus," he said. "The World of Outlaws races are always a tough challenge so hopefully we can put down a good qualifying lap and set ourselves up for success."

Rilat, who last won at Devil's Bowl Speedway in 2012, has recorded at least one top-10 finish at the track each year for the past 11 seasons. He was in contention for a victory during his lone start at the track earlier this season, but a mechanical failure ended the night early.

"We have run well and for the most part have been consistent at Devil's Bowl," he said. "However, we haven't run many 410 races there so that presents a different test."

Rilat has qualified for two out of the three World of Outlaws features at Devil's Bowl Speedway the past two years with a 23rd-place result last year and a 21st-place finish in 2014.

"When you don't race 410s very often and rarely with the World of Outlaws the first goal is to make the A Main each night," he said. "After that the further forward we can get the better. If we could get a top 10 or two it'd be a successful weekend."

SEASON STATS -

11 races, 1 win, 3 top fives, 7 top 10s, 8 top 15s, 10 top 20s

Inside Line Promotions - LINDSAY, Okla. (April 18, 2016) - Harli White is excited to announce that she will head to Australia in the offseason for the first time in her career.

White will pilot a winged 410ci sprint car for Paul Stirton and the A-One Charge Air Coolers team from early December until the middle of January when she will return to the United States to compete in the Chili Bowl Nationals.

"I was super pumped to hear about the idea," she said. "For it to be a real thing is pretty amazing. It's always a dream for sprint car racers to go over there and race. It's an honor to go over there and race. The family and team I will be racing for are super good people. I've had some fans from Australia already. To be able to meet them and make new fans will be awesome as well. I'm honored and blessed to be a part of something like this."

While a schedule hasn't been set, White said the team is building two new race cars for the six-week trip and working on graphics, which will incorporate some of White's sponsors in the United States.

"I plan on arriving before Christmas and racing a couple of shows," she said. "We want to hit a few races to get some seat time and practice. After Christmas I'll race in the big shows. I've never raced a 410 before so that's an exciting challenge as well."

The opportunity appeared after the driver's seat opened recently.

"They've been following me through my career and their past driver just retired," she said. "They were looking for a new driver and I guess my name has been on their list. One of the team guys is coming in June to spend a couple of weeks racing with us. Everyone at Harli White Racing is ecstatic for this opportunity."

Special apparel will be available to preorder before December. More details about the apparel and the trip will be announced in the near future.

Bryant Building Toward Championship Run during Weekends Off

Inside Line Promotions - THE WOODLANDS, Texas (April 18, 2016) - When a team gets a little time away from the track, they take full advantage to keep organized and prepared. That's exactly what Tommy Bryant and his Cooper Motorsports team are doing until their next ASCS Gulf South Region event.

Bryant and the SawBlade.com backed team have come out of the gates strong in 2016, recording seven top-10 finishes and four top fives, including a pair of season-best third-place showings. That has Bryant atop the ASCS Gulf South Region standings and sixth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour standings.

"It's just me and a couple of volunteers working on this car and we each spend about 15 to 20 hours a week in the shop," Bryant said. "We all have other jobs, but we love working together and the results show that.

"We've been busy restocking the trailer, getting our spares ready and going through the car. When we get back to racing every week, we know things will get tough and we want to be as prepared as we can. I can't thank my crew guys enough for all the hard work and sacrifices they make to let me do what I love to do. I want to mention Douglas Roberts … he does all the engine maintenance for me and that frees me up to concentrate on set-ups."

The break from racing also gives Bryant a chance to spend time with his wife and three young children.

"My wife is very supportive of what I do and a huge help," he said. "With my job, racing and the kids … there's no way I could do it without her help and support."

Bryant will get back to racing May 6 at the Heart O' Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, for the 12th Annual Gordon Woolley Classic.

"We are focused on winning this ASCS Gulf South Region championship," Bryant said. "We've run second so many times in the standings and I want this title very bad. We're going to get stocked up and cleaned up and go get this championship."

Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Claim Knoxville Raceway Season Opener

Inside Line Promotions - KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 18, 2016) - Big Game Motorsports pilot Danny Lasoski continued to add to his legacy at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday when he claimed his track-record seventh Opening Day victory.

The win was the first of the season for the Muddy sponsored team, which is aiming to back up last season's track championship at the half-mile oval.

"If we win races the points will be there," Lasoski said. "A win puts a little extra boost in the step of our guys, who have worked so hard. Guy (Forbrook) and I know how hard this sport is. When you have bad nights you can't dwell on them and you can rest on your laurels after good nights."

Lasoski was one of the final cars to qualify during last Saturday's season opener at Knoxville Raceway, where he timed in third quickest.

"Going out almost last in qualifying I thought we put a lap together that was the best we had," he said. "We didn't have a very good car in the heat race, but Guy did a great job adjusting for the A Main."

Lasoski rallied from sixth to fourth place in the heat race to lock into the feature inversion, which lined him up on the outside of the second row for the 20-lap main event.

"I immediately got to second," he said. "(Bryan Clauson) was putting a good pace out front. At Knoxville you can't wear your tires too early. We had a restart and I got under him and set sail."

Lasoski, who advanced into second place on the opening lap, took the lead on Lap 5 and pulled away for his 107th career 410ci triumph at the track.

"I'm lucky and thankful we won our first race of the year," he said. "Guy and the crew worked their tails off so it's nice to be rewarded for that."

The Muddy backed team will return to action this Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
