As the green flag dropped on the feature Morgan bolted to the lead and went on to claim the feature win over Patrik Daniel, Tyler Erb, Zack McMillan, and Robbie Starnes.

Johnny Pursley Races to First Two Triumphs of 2013

Clover, South Carolina (05/07/13) – It's been an up-and-down start to the year for Johnny Pursley, but on Friday night his luck finally went his way as he powered his #09 Pursley Grading Mastersbilt Super Late Model to his first victory of 2013 with a triumph in Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series action.

With twenty-one entries on hand for the program at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) Pursley found his way into the top spot early in the feature as he overtook leader, Chip Brindle. He would then hold the lead until lap 21, when contact from Mike Gault got him loose, which allowed Gault to take over the top spot. It appeared that Pursley would have to settle for a second place finish, but contact with a lapped car caused Gault to spin from contention on the white flag lap as Pursley narrowly avoided the melee to claim the win, which came over Ricky Weeks, Chip Brindle, Luke Roffers, and Damon Kotke.

“I figured if I could be patient, I would get the chance (to regain the lead), but it was looking like it was not going to happen,” said Pursley, who pocketed $4,000 for his first 2013 victory. “But when I saw (Gault) turned sideways, I knew I had him then. I can't thank all of my sponsors and fans enough for all of their awesome support!”

The victory marked his fifth career triumph with the Carolina Clash tour. Full results from the event and the latest series' standings are available at www.CarolinaClash.com .

With the first victory out of the way on Friday night, Pursley continued his winning ways on Saturday night by powering the #47 Robbie Jordan Motorsports/ Mastersbilt Limited Late Model to the feature win at Lancaster Motor Speedway (Lancaster, South Carolina). Twenty-one entries were on hand, and after qualifying on the pole Pursley led every lap to score the win! Full results from the event are available at www.LancasterSuperSpeedway.com .

Pursley will look to notch his third victory of 2013 this Saturday, when he resumes action with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model tour with a trip to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for a $4,000-to-win event. Chad Stapleton Gets Emotional Win at Moler; Busy Weekend Up Next

Edinburgh, Indiana (05/07/13) –Chad Stapleton charged to his third-straight feature win on Friday night in his #32 Stapleton Motorsports/Rightway Construction/Skeletor Core/Barry Wright/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model on a night that was made emotional by a much-respected competitor, who fell ill.

Chad continued his recent hot streak by powering his #32 Rightway Construction/Barry Wright Super Late Model to his third straight victory with a triumph in the $1,500-to-win event at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) on Friday evening. He started the night by winning his heat race, and then leading every lap of the feature.

While Stapleton was elated to get the win the night was marred by well-respected racer, Barry Doss, having a heart attack at the track. The veteran racer was transported to a local hospital in stable condition and Chad dedicated his win to the great racer, "The Boss" Barry Doss.

"It's hard to be real excited about this win because all that I can think is that I hope Barry will be alright," Stapleton noted. "He's one heck of a guy, and just somebody that everybody loves. He's definitely in my thoughts right now."

Full results from the program are available at www.MolerRacewayPark.com .

On Saturday evening the action shifted to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for a $2,000-to-win, unsanctioned race. Fifteen Super Late Models were on hand for the program, and after finishing fourth in his heat race the team had high hopes for the feature, but mechanical woes early in the feature sidelined him to a twelfth place finish. Full results from the event are available at www.FlorenceSpeedway.com .

This weekend, May 10th-11th, the team is slated to enter a pair of events in Ohio and Illinois. On Friday night Stapleton will once again be in action at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) before traveling to Twin Cities Raceway Park (North Vernon, Illinois) on Saturday evening for a $2,000-to-win, Sunoco American Late Model Series (ALMS) event. Big Game Motorsports Rallies for Mixed Results at Eldora Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 7, 2013) - It was a weekend at both ends of the spectrum for Big Game Motorsports.

While Big Game Treestands backed Sammy Swindell said he had one of his worst weekends at Eldora Speedway, teammate Craig Dollansky nearly picked up a record-setting World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory in his Eyecon Trail Cameras car during the Outlaw Thunder doubleheader at the famed half-mile track.
In Friday's feature, Dollansky led laps nine through 16 as a tire issue began to surface. Eventual winner Kerry Madsen took the lead just after the midpoint of the race and held off Dollansky amidst traffic in the closing laps.

"We got the lead and about 12 to 13 laps in I thought we were getting a flat left rear tire," he said. "The car was just laying left hard, and I was concerned about making the 30 laps, but in the end we came home second with the car in one piece."
Dollansky's runner-up finish in his Eyecon Trail Cameras car earned him his fourth podium of the season. His next win will move him into a tie for 10 th place on the all-time wins list.

Swindell was on the other end of the scale on Friday, when he qualified 32nd quickest and had a part break early in his heat race - sending him into the wall exiting turn four. The team opted to skip the Last Chance Showdown and use a provisional to tag the back of the main event.

"We were just trying a different motor combination there and it didn't quite pan out," Swindell said after finishing a season-low 20th. "And then we had the other problems in the heat race. It wasn't a good day, but we turned it around there the next night and was quite a bit better."

The Big Game Motorsports drivers each qualified in a spot to put them on the front row of a heat race on Saturday, but both finished third to miss the dash by one position. That relegated Swindell to start 14th and Dollansky 16th in the 30-lap feature.
"In the middle of the pack is always a hard place to be at Eldora," Swindell said. "The car was too tight for the start of the race. After we got to run a few laps, then we gained back what we lost and a few more at the end."

Swindell rallied to place 10th, recording his 11th top-10 finish of the season. Dollansky finished 11th - one spot away from his 11th top 10 of the year.

Swindell ranks fifth in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series championship standings - only 30 points out of the top three - and Dollansky is seventh in the points.

The Big Game Motorsports drivers will compete with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series in the inaugural FVP Outlaws at Elko Friday at Elko Speedway in Elko, Minn., and Saturday at the Mediacom Shootout at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

Gregg Satterlee Completes Virginia Sweep with Wins at Eastside and Winchester

Rochester Mills, PA (May 7, 2012) Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA will be the first to admit that the 2013 season did not get off to the start that he and his team would have liked. Starting off at the Georgia/Florida Speedweeks in February, Gregg entered eleven events while only capturing two top-ten finishes. In fact, the trip was so miserable that the team loaded up and made their way back home a day early.

As the schedule has picked up, so has Satterlee's performance as he picked up his first and second wins of the 2013 season with a weekend sweep in the state of Virginia. First it was the Three State Flyers series event at the Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, VA on Friday, May 3 where Gregg held off multi-time Three State Flyers champion Jason Covert for the $5,000 win.

On Saturday, May 4 Satterlee trekked to Winchester (VA) Speedway for the annual Lee Stultz Memorial that paid $3,000 to the winner. Gregg shared the front row with pole-sitter Jamie Lathroum and shot out to the lead on the opening lap. Satterlee was the class of the field on this night and would lead all 35 laps for his second victory in as many nights. "I have to thank my crew chief Robby Allen for this one." Satterlee stated in his post-race interview. "It always helps to start up-front in these races but Robby had this car just about perfect and I want to thank him for giving me such a good car tonight. I'm just happy to win and hope we can keep this going."

Gregg and his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsports, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #22 Rocket Chassis will take the May 10th weekend off but will be back in action at the County Line Speedway in Elm City, NC and Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA for a pair of Ultimate Late Model Series events on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. Satterlee will then hit the road for 15 races in 17 days starting at the NDRL's McKean County Raceway on Thursday, May 23 for a $3,000 to-win NDRL's ULMS event. From there the team will travel with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH on Friday, May 24 for the postponed 'Buckeye 50' that pays $10,000 to-win and Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for a $6,000 to win event on Saturday, May 25 and a $15,000 to-win event on Sunday, May 26. Gregg will then head to Bedford (PA) Speedway on Monday, May 27 for a $3,000 to-win Three State Flyers event before taking two days off to regroup for a another $10,000 to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE on Thursday, May 30. After that the team plans to follow the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek as they visit Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, MD, Hagerstown (MD) Speedway, Winchester (VA) Speedway, Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA, Port Royal (PA) Speedway, and Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA from Friday, May 31 through Wednesday, June 5. With no rest for the weary, Gregg will head straight out to Rossburg, OH for the annual Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway on Thursday, June 6 through Saturday, June 8.  This year's edition of the Dream features two $6,000 to-win events on Thursday and Friday with the huge $100,000 to-win finale on Saturday, June 8.

Marks Nabs Seventh Straight Heat Race Win at Lincoln Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. (May 6, 2013) - It was another solid weekend for Brent Marks, who extended his unprecedented streak.

Marks recorded his seventh consecutive heat race victory - and his track-best eighth overall - on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway to highlight a weekend with two more top 15s.

It started on Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., where Marks finished fourth in his heat race to garner the eighth starting position for the 25-lap feature.

"Our car was pretty good all night long," he said. "(The track) wasn't very racy. It rubbered up on the bottom for the second week in a row. I was one of few drivers trying to make the top work, trying to run where nobody else was. We were about to run up there to the top five a couple of times. It was very tough to pass and it was pretty much you finished where you started."

Marks ended seventh to earn his 10th top-seven finish this season. He now ranks fourth in the Williams Grove Speedway standings.

After qualifying 11th to open the 10th annual Weldon Sterner Memorial at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, Marks was put on the pole of his heat race. He led the distance en route to another heat win.

"It gets your confidence up in a heat race," he said. "It's very important to get qualified and put yourself in position for the feature. By winning all these heat races is able to put us in position."

For the second straight night, Marks started the main event on the outside of the fourth row. He was up to seventh on Lap 3 of the special 33-lap race when disaster struck.

"I just overdrove the car and just lost it," he said. "I tried to gas it up and keep going, but the motor just stalled on me. That just set us behind, especially on a heavy track."

After restarting at the back of the pack - 24th - Marks rallied to finish 12th, which was only the fourth race this season that he didn't end in the top 10.

"Unfortunate I made a mistake early in the feature and spun out," he said. "I had to come from the back and was only able to salvage 12th out of it. We didn't have a very good race car, but I felt like we had a top-10 race car."

Marks will return to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday for a pair of tuneups for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series before concluding the weekend on Sunday at Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, Pa.

QUICK RESULTS -
May 3 - Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa. - Heat race: 4 (4); Feature: 7 (8).
