Awards Banquet for Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series is January 12, 2013 in Knoxville, TN
HUNTSVILLE, AL (December 1, 2012)—The Top-10 drivers in the Championship Point standings with the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will be honored on Saturday Night January 12, 2013 at the Bearden Banquet Hall in Knoxville, TN.
Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN will officially be crowned the 2012 Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series Champion in the series’ 30th season. This is Weaver’s third series championship in just four seasons. Weaver also won the title in 2009 and 2010. Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN broke Weaver’s two-championship streak in 2011 and finished fourth in the 2012 series points. Weaver along with Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year Mike Weeks of Friendsville, TN and the rest of the top-10 drivers will be honored and paid their points fund monies.
On January 12, a Social Time is set for 6:30 pm through 7:00 pm followed by dinner served after 7:00 pm. The dinner includes Pork Tenderloin and Lemon Pepper Chicken, Garden Salad, Green Beans, Garlic Roasted Red Potatoes, Chocolate Cake and Banana Pudding. Beverages are included but a cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Cost of the banquet is $25.00 per person and is open to the general public. Invitations will be mailed within the next week.
