SOUTHERN ALL STAR DIRT RACING SERIES PR#70 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Chris Madden Two For Two In Southern All Star Rain Delays FAYETTEVILLE, TN— Two time Southern All Star Champion Chris Madden is going to start liking rain delayed races if this keeps up as he now has won his second rained delayed Southern All Star event of the year by capturing the 23rd Annual Blue/Gray 100 for the 4th time in his racing career. Earlier this season with the Southern All Stars the series was at Volunteer Speedway when rain stopped the action on lap 17 with Madden on top. The series came back three weeks later and Madden came out the winner of the that event, now he is back in victory lane one week later claiming the $10,000 first place check. Madden who took the lead at the start continued to stay up front on the lap five restart as he showed his home track dominance leading all 100 laps and holding off challenges from Casey Roberts Early in the race, Jonathan Davenport, through the middle stages of the race and then finally a spirited battled with Don O’Neal late in the race to get the win. Finishing behind Madden win second place was Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN,, third to Jonathan Davenport Blairsville, GA,, fourth to Chris Ferguson of Mt Holly, NC., who set overall fast time in White Performance Qualifying and fifth to Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA. Rounding out the top ten were Steve Shaver in sixth, Dennis Franklin seventh, Johnny Pursley eighth, Bret Home ninth and Ross Bailes tenth. Also the 2013 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Champion was crowned as Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN., took the championship, while the 2013 Cruise with the Champions/DirtonDirt Rookie of the Year went to Bret Holmes of Munford, AL. Both of the these drivers along with the top ten in series points will be honored at the Annual Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Awards Banquet on Saturday night December 21st at the Bearden Banquet Hall in Knoxville, TN.
