FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Riley Hickman On His Way To Second Southern All Star Championship With Talladega Win EASTABOGA, AL—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series returned to the Talladega Short Track Saturday night the fall NASCAR weekend and 2013 series champion Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN., put on a dominating performance as he arrived at the track in Riley Hickman fashion late, missed hot laps, then went out for White Performance Qualifying and set overall fast time of the 35 cars on hand with a 14.814 then proceeded to lead the entire 40 lap event to get his second win of the season and padded his series points lead.

Hickman driving his CVR chassis with Vic Hill Racing Engines power under the hood was only going to be slowed by three caution flags as he was the man to beat as he worked in and out of lapped traffic and built a lead over second fast qualifier Tom Maddox of Centre, AL.,  early in the race and then late in the race Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC., got the high side working and he got around Maddox for the second spot late in the race but time ran out as Hickman capped off his dominating performance and took home the $4,000 first place money.  Cook finished in the runner up spot with Maddox bringing home third, fourth went to Jason Croft of Woodstock, GA., in first appearance with the series this year and rounding out the top five was Kyle Bead of Truman, AR., also in his first appearance of the season with the series.

Jake Knowles of Tyrone, GA., worked his way from his 10th starting spot for a 6th place finish, 7th to Brandon Kinzer of Allen, KY., eighth to Josh Adkins of Talladega, AL., from his 14th starting spot, ninth to Jeff Smith of Chatsworth, GA., and tenth to 2014 Talladega Short Track Champion Tim Roszell of Anniston, AL.

The top five drivers of Hickman, Cook, Maddox, Croft and Beard qualified for a $500 bonus at the Duck River Speedway on Nov 13-15 in the Deep Fried 75 if they win the event

The next Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series events will be the Gobbler Weekend with a pair of $5,000 to win events, Friday night November 21st at the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN., and on Saturday night November 22nd at the Boyds Speedway in Ringgold, GA., which is setting up to be a big weekend of racing in southeast Tennessee for that weekend.
