SOUTHERN ALL STAR DIRT RACING SERIES PR#36

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chris Madden Returns To Get Southern All Star Smoky Mt Win

MARYVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will made its second stop of the 2015 season Saturday night at the Smoky Mt Speedway in Maryville, TN., for the King of the Mountain Fall Classic sponsored by East Tennessee Auto Outlet and two time Southern All Star Champion Chris Madden let everybody know he was back as he took home the win and the $5,000 back to Gray Court, SC.

Madden who has been missing from any racing action over the summer returned to the driver’s seat a few weeks ago in a new Longhorn Chassis/Clements Racing Engines sponsored by Century Plastics/Crowder Trucking/Cushman Paint & Body/Modern Images/Allstar Performance/Crescent Moon Homes/ and then proceeded to set fast time in White Performance qualifying with a 15.688 second lap and then took the lead at the drop of the green flag and was in command for the remainder of the night.

Madden would have to work some lap traffic midway through the race and this allowed the second place car of Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., to close the gap on him and even pull alongside him but  faded late and nobody had anything for Madden in the end.

Weaver then had to battle with Billy Ogle Jr during the late stages of the race with Ogle getting under Weaver to take over the second spot and Weaver falling back to third.  That is the way they would finish the 40 lap feature as three former Southern All Star Champions took the top three spots, fourth place went to longtime east Tennessee driver and series supporter Mark Douglas in one of his best runs with the series in a few races and to give the Southern All Stars champions four of the top five spots Riley Hickman came home in fifth place.

David Payne of Murphy, NC., came home in the sixth spot, seventh went to Derek Ellis of Chatsworth, GA., eighth to Bo Shirley of Gadsden, AL., ninth to Tommy Kerr of Rockford, TN., and tenth to Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL.

The next event for the Southern All Stars will this Saturday & Sunday at the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL., for the 27th Annual Alabama State Championships, with a pair of 40 lap $4,000 to win events  on Sept 26th & 27th.
