Southern All-Stars returns to Tazewell Speedway April 6

Tazewell, Tennessee – Tazewell Speedway welcomes the return of the Southern All-Stars Series on Saturday, April 6. The Charles Trammell Memorial will pay $5,000 to this year's winner. It is the series' first visit to Tazewell Speedway since 2006.

Jonathan Davenport is the current series points leader. Riley Hickman sits second in SAS points. The 2012 series Rookie of the Year Mike Weeks along with 2013 rookie contenders Mark Rosner, Jason Hiett, and Brett Holmes are all sitting inside the top 6 in series points heading into Saturday's Charles Trammell Memorial 50.

Regional drivers also expected for the Southern All-Stars Charles Trammell Memorial are Billy Ogle Jr., Vic Hill, track record holder Jeff Wolfenbarger, Steve Smith, Brett Miller, and many others.

Also racing on will be the new Sportsman division, modified streets, pure streets, and four cylinders. The Tazewell Late Models and classics will NOT be racing.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $30, kids 12 and under are $20. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. Racing will start at 7:15.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
