SAS will make stop at East AL Motor Speedway during their 40th Anniversary season 3/16

HUNTSVILLE, AL (March 6, 2013)—The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will open the 40th Anniversary Season at the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL with the running of the 28th Annual Jimmy Thomas Memorial event on Saturday Night March 16th.
This will mark the first visit by SAS to East Alabama Motor Speedway in quite some time. The SAS Super Late Models will compete for $4,000 to win / $300 to start. There will be a complete show of Practice, WhitePerformance.com/Schaeffer’s Oil Qualifying, PPM Racing Products Last Chance Showdowns and the 40-lap Feature event.
Along with the Super Late Models, the NeSmith Crate Late Models will run for $1,000 to win, the Limited Sportsman $500 to win, Hobby $500 to win, Bomber $500 to win, Road Warrior $500 to win, Rookie Late Model $500 to win. The gates are slated to open at 3:00 pm with Practice scheduled for 7:30 pm. All times are Eastern.
