(For Immediate Release) Jackson, MS - The 23rd Annual Bank Plus Racing Vehicle Extravaganza, at the Jackson, MS Fairgrounds will host a first for motor sports in this area, if not the country.

On January 4, 2015 at 10:30 am, the 1st Annual Safety Seminar For Track and Series Workers, an interactive, first-of-its-kind seminar designed to inform and educate track and series officials on what to do after the inevitable incident occurs.

The agenda will not only cover caring for an injured driver, but how to care for an injured crew member, fan, or fellow track official. 

The seminar will open with instruction on covering the racing facility so that no corner is unattended. Instruction will be given on how to safely but quickly respond to an incident to handle the first critical moments after things have gone bad.

A Paramedic Field Training Officer from presenting sponsor American Medical Response, the largest ambulance provider in the United States, will instruct on the ABC's of treating an injury, assessing the situation, and determining how to immobilize to prevent further injury. Instruction will then move to dealing with bleeding or obvious injuries.  Finally, extraction of an injured party from a dangerous situation will be addressed.

Event sponsor Fire Service Plus will take the stage to close out the seminar, with instruction on how to properly deal with every racer's greatest fear, fire.  The types of fire and how to deal with the situation without exacerbating it will be the main topic.  There will be several demonstrations of the situations possibly encountered in a racing incident.

This seminar is FREE with show admittance to any track or series official.
