Richards Claims Back-to-Back Victories During Speedweeks

Mooresville, NC (February 19, 2013) Josh Richards has constructed an exceptional start to Speedweeks after his Victory at Bubba Raceway Park, followed the very next night by an unparalleled Volusia Speedway Park win.

The Bubba Army finale held on February 17th at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida yields the richest payday of Florida Speedweeks at $20,000.  After winning his heat, Josh Richards started third in the 75-lap event.  On the 18th lap, Richards was able to overtake the polesitter, Jimmy Owens.  Richards then began to pull away from the field. It was smooth sailing until 15 laps remained, and he was heavily challenged with lapped traffic.  Richards ultimately pulled through and claimed the victory.

Coming straight off an exhilarating win the night before, Josh Richards came to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida completely motivated.  He finished second in his heat and was subject to start 10th in the feature.  Having only 30-laps available to make it to the front, Richards stormed forward with his Roush Yates Engine.  Steve Francis was in the leading position when Richards made his move on the 18th lap.  Francis settled for a runner-up finish as Richards took the checkered and earned the $7,000 purse.  Richards stands as the points leader in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings.
