Howard Moore Masters Hattiesburg SOS Action

Memphis, Tennessee (04/28/15) – 18-year-old, Howard Moore recorded his first win of 2015 on Friday evening with a dominant win at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in his Lawn Jox #40 Dynamic Electric JR-1 Sprint Car.

Doing his best to find a place to race, where Mother Nature was not spoiling the party, Howard Moore and the team traveled south to Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) on Friday evening to enter their first-ever event at the ¼ mile oval.

The event, which was sanctioned by the Southern Outlaw Sprinters (SOS), found Howard earning the pole position for the main event in his Dynamic Electric #40 JR-1 entry after winning his heat race He would go on to wire the field in the feature to score his first win of the 2015 season! He was followed across the finish line by Terry Gray, Morgan Turpen, Shane Morgan, and Jeff Willingham.

“I had an absolute rocket ship the whole night at Hattiesburg,” said Moore. “I can’t thank Robert, Ricky, and my Dad enough for providing such an awesome car. I also want to thank all of my sponsors for their great support.” He concluded by saying, “Hopefully this is the first of several wins for our team this year.”

On Saturday the team was slated to compete at Deep South Speedway (Loxley, Alabama), but Mother Nature forced the event to be canceled.

Kent Robinson Claims Emotional Victory at Bloomington

Bloomington, Indiana (04/28/15) – Kent Robinson entered the 2nd annual J.B. Robinson Memorial on Friday night at Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana), where he came away with a very special triumph aboard his Jones Oil #85 Elite Chassis Modified.

“Obviously I want to win every race, but this is one that I wanted the most,” noted Robinson. “My dad was a great man, and loved by so many people. To win this race with so many of my family and friends here with us really means a lot.”

The American Modified Series (AMS) sanctioned the $2,000-to-win program, which drew a field of twenty-seven entries. Robinson charged to a heat race victory to lock into 30-lap main event. Brian Shaw would lead the first nine circuits until the third caution of the event waved. Robinson made what would be the winning pass on the on the ensuing restart, taking control on lap ten and never looking back. Kent cross the finish line first in his father's memorial event ahead of Tyler Nicely, Brian Shaw, Mark Lamont, and Clayton Miller.

Bryant Marsh Snares Top Five at Whynot

Corinth, Mississippi (04/28/15)
– 15-year-old, Bryant Marsh enjoyed a great outing in his Modern Woodmen #1 Subway/Trak-Star Crate Late Model on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park (Whynot, Mississippi), where he came away with a top five finish.

A stout field of 28 entries took part in the NeSmith Weekly Late Model Series Event, and Bryant started his night by qualifying ninth fastest. As a result he started sixth in his heat race before advancing to a third place finish.

Via his heat performance Marsh started sixth on the feature grid. He would go on to race his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Jimbo McDuffie, Terry Mosley, Tim Dees, and Casey Haney.

“It was really a huge confidence booster for me tonight at Whynot,” said Marsh. “I’m still learning the ins-and-outs of these cars, and to travel to a place like this for the first time and get a top five against such a tough field of racers is really big.”
